I open my eyes slowly. Everything is blurry and I have to slowly adjust to the sight.

When it finally comes into focus, I realize I'm tied to a chair.

I pull and struggle to get free, and all I do is loosen the ropes a little.

"I'm proud of you for protecting Ryan from that bomb. If I didn't hate you so much I might recruit you."

Tyson.

"Where is he? Where's Ryan what did you do with him?"

"Wow. You actually do care about him. I'm surprised. I didn't think a girl like you could love."

"How do you know I love him?"

He lets a sick grin appear on his face.

"I can see it in your eyes. Fear. I only see it with you when I threaten one of them. You aren't afraid of dying."

"Tell me where he is!"

"Why? So you can go get him? How about if I make you a deal. If you save him this time, I'll stop going after him."

"I don't where he is and I'm tied to a chair! How am I supposed to find him?"

He walks out, and minutes later comes back with a TV. He flicks it on, and there lies Ryan, still unconscious.

"What did you do to him?"

"I gave him a higher dose than what I gave you. I'm going to kill him when he wakes up."

I feel like I've been socked in the stomach.

"How much time?"

He shrugs. "An hour or two. Good luck."

He leaves, and I know he's not coming back.

There are so many problems right now I don't even know where to start.

I jerk my wrist back enough that I can bend my fingers to touch the rope.

I pull on the knot, and nothing happens. I struggle to untie it with two fingers. They become raw and bleeding in a matter of minutes.

Finally, the rope falls from my wrist.

I cry out in triumph and do the other one.

I quickly stand and run to the TV.

He's still out, and I don't see anything that reveals where he is.

I don't even know where I am.

I find a window, but all I see is other buildings.

I check my pocket for anything, and I pull out my phone.

I laugh out of relief.

I call Ryan, and through the monitor I hear his phone ringing.

Yes! I can track his phone.

But I can't get back to the precinct, not in time.

I have to do it from here somehow.

I look at the screen again, and realize my area code doesn't pop up on his phone.

That means he's in the same city at least.

Wait, how long have I been out?

Are they looking for us?

I check my phone and the time reads seven A. M.

We've been gone for almost a day.

How much of a dose did he give us?

Ok, by now they are probably looking for us.
