Fairytail: E.N.Ds Awakening

Prologue

Lucy is sitting on the ground to regain any energy that's left in her to keep fighting. She watches as Natsu battles the dark wizard Zeref. Natsu was breathing hard. His body covered in cuts and bruises, where Zeref was completely unscratched.

How could he be so strong? Lucy believed in Natsu to finish him.

Zeref stood there watching him, smiling with his hands in his pockets.

"I was hoping you were strong enough when u came here to fight me, Natsu..." Zeref said disappointed.

"I trained very hard to," Natsu was angry.

"I wanted you to kill me."

Natsu's eyes grew big, "I will, I promise. You will be nothing but ash."

"I wanted to atone for my sins. I waited so many years for this day to come. Since I created the only demon who can defeat me, E.N.D."

"E.N.D won't be here to do that but, I will."

"He's here. Closer than you may think. He's always been there, waiting to be awakened."

"Shut up!"

Zeref's smiles, "you will have to make that choice. Only you."

"And I choose to defeat evil, to protect everyone in this world. To protect my friends!" His hands burst into flames, ready to attack. Natsu lunges at Zeref but, it was blocked, making it ricochet towards Lucy and injured Wendy, who was passed out from exhaustion.

"Lucy! Wendy!" Natsu yelled.

Lucy's eyes stared into the hot flame coming towards her, her body shaking, and just like that, all she could see was flames.

When they finally went out, Lucy laid on the ground still awake. "Natsu..." She croaked.

She watched as the flame dragon grew fire around his body. His eyes turning red. "I'll kill you for that! I'll turn you into ash! Using my own powers against Lucy!"

Zeref smiles as Natsu tries to land another attack which was blocked again, spinning right towards Lucy and the sky dragon again.

"No! How could you?! Those are my friends. Ur reflecting my powers towards them on purpose, you monster! You will pay! I'll destroy you!"
The flames around Natsu grew two times bigger.

Lucy looked at her friend. His body was changing. Was he changing into a dragon? Has he mastered dragon slayer magic finally? Zeref looked confident and like he succeeded at something. Zeref, for the first time during the fight, he frowned but, not from worry. It was like the real battle finally begun and it was time to be serious.

Natsu cried out like he was in pain. Lucy saw black markings taking over his body as he fell to his knees.

"What are you doing to him?!" Lucy managed to yell out at The dark Mage.

"I'm simply doing nothing. This is his own doing." He muttered.

"Lucy! Help me! I'm burning! Please!" Natsu was crying. He was suffering. Lucy ran to him but fell hard on her face. She looked at her best friend, being torchured in his flame.

"Natsu... What's happening to you..?" Lucy couldn't get up. It was like she lost all amount of energy and all she could do was watch him writhe in pain. "Natsu..."
