Mia's POV

I take a deep breath as I leave school at 4 o clock, it's Thursday and time for Olly's third recording session.

'Nothing is going to happen to you, not today, just breathe and you'll be there in no time, it's one train journey, you'll be fine.' I tell myself as I walk towards the tube station. I keep my eyes on the ground in order to avoid making eye contact with anyone.

I swipe my Oyster card and go through the barrier before heading through a load of tunnels to find my platform. I jog a little as I hear a train approaching and just manage to hop on before the doors close behind me. I steady myself one of the poles using my right hand to grip it as tightly as I can with sweaty hands.

I keep my head down and focus on my breathing as the train comes to its first stop. More people crowd on and bodies push up against me, I focus harder on my breathing.

At the second stop a lot more people get off and the air doesn't feel as close as it had before.

Finally the train gets to my stop and I practically fly off the train I'm in such a hurry. I hurry down the tunnels, following the yellow exit arrows, occasionally apologising to the odd person I bump into. I swipe my Oyster card once more at the exit gate and pelt up the stairs.

When the cool air hits my damp face I feel a huge amount of relief, I move out of the way of other Londoners as they hurry about their everyday lives and place my hands on my knees trying to get my breath back.

When I'm satisfied that I'm breathing normally again, I stand up straight and am about to head for the studios when I feel a hand clasp my shoulder.

I freeze, this can't be happening,  did I count wrong? Is it today? Is it happening early? What are they going to do to me?

I hold my breath and slowly turn around.

A policeman stands there holding my purse.

"Is this yours miss?" The policeman says with a kind smile.

"Yes! Oh my goodness thank you! I hadn't even realised that I'd dropped it!" I say as I take the purse out of his hands.

"No problem miss, you have a good day now then." He says before turning around and walking back into the tube station.

I sigh in relief before turning in the direction of the studios and making my way there.

"Mia? Are you alright?" Lyndsay asks as I take a seat in the studio.

"What? Yeah, I'm fine, why?" I say, wiping my hands on my trousers to get rid of the sweat.

"You look like you've seen a ghost." Olly says, coming to sit next to me.

"Oh, well I'm fine, really. Let's just get recording." I suggest, refusing to make eye contact with anyone. I hate that over the past few days my anxiety levels have quadrupled, my hands have been constantly sweaty, I've lost weight, I can't seem to eat much before feeling sick, I jump whenever I hear a phone go off, I keep thinking that I feel my phone vibrating and then checking it to find nothing there, I feel like I want to cry all the time, or curl up in bed and never get up again, I can't even bring myself to approach my bedroom window at the moment for fear of someone getting me.

"Well, if you're sure." Lyndsay says with concern. I nod and hear Olly move away. I hear the door to the sound booth open and then close.

"Ok, let's get this started." Lyndsay says before hitting the button to make the music play.
