Niall’s POV
Another week spent with Mia passes by, I’m loving spending every single minute of every single day and night with her, I love going to bed to her and waking up to her. For the past week I have woken up before her and watched her as she slept, I love watching her sleep, the way that her golden curls fall around her head like a halo, she’s just perfect and she’s mine. She starts to open her eyes and I greet her as I always do with a kiss.
“Good morning gorgeous.” She bites her bottom lip in that adorable way that she does that makes me want to kiss her again which I do. I see that smile that I can’t get enough of. Ever since the day that we have baked a cake together she has become better and better with the house across the road, I don’t really consider it to be her house since she has spent more time here than she has over there.
After getting showered and dressed we sit in our usual positions on the bed eating our toast and drinking our milk. Mia has something on her mind, I can tell by the way she’s avoiding looking at me in the eye for too long and she seems to be really distracted, but I don’t want to push her into telling me.
“Niall?” She says finally and I can hear that she’s nervous.
“Yes.” I say, encouraging her.
“I just thought that maybe I could try sleeping at ‘my’ house.” She says, she’s definitely avoiding eye contact so I gently lift her chin so that she’s looking at me, she must have seen the kindness in my eyes because I watch as her anxiety melts off her soft features.
“It’s ok, I think that it’s good that you’re overcoming your fears.” I say and she smiles that beautiful smile of hers.
We spent the whole day watching films, and her parents had come in to find the both of us crying at ‘Marley and Me’. I think they must have realised that we didn’t want to be disturbed because neither of them said anything to us, they just waved to us and Mia acknowledged them with a quick wave before snuggling back into my shoulder as she sobbed. Luckily we have since recovered from our sob-fest before Jane calls us through for dinner, I take as long as I possibly can over dinner, knowing that when this evening ends then I will have to go and spend the night alone. Once I have finally finished eating, Mia and I go back into the living room to watch a bit of TV before going to bed.
“What’s the matter?” Mia asks me, while giving me a look of concern.
“Nothing, I’m fine.” I tell her, giving her a reassuring smile.
“Come on, tell me.” She says with an encouraging look on her face and I can see the kindness in her eyes.
“It’s just going to be weird not having you next to me tonight.” I admit, not wanting to look her in the eye.
“Hey look at me, I need to do this but that doesn’t mean that I won’t miss you as well tonight.” She says while I turn to face her. “Now come here.” She says while holding her arms out to me. She wraps her arms around my neck and I bury my face in hers. We spend the rest of the evening cuddling on the sofa. All too soon it’s midnight and Mia is starting to fall asleep and as much as I want to just let her fall asleep I know that she needs to try to be able to sleep without me so I gently wake her.
“Mia, I think that you should go to bed now, you’re falling asleep as it is.” I whispers.
“Aww.” She groans but she slowly gets up and I get up along with her and I hold her hand tightly as we walk to the front door.
“Goodnight.” I say expecting Mia to say the same but instead her lips crash onto mine, both her hands on my cheeks but it’s over all too soon.
