Mia's POV

"Why are you reading 'The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones' again?" Georgia asks as she walks into the living room carrying two teas.

"Because it's my absolute favourite book series ever." I tell her, simply.

"But the whole series hasn't even been released yet." She says, confused.

"That doesn't mean that they aren't my favourite books. I would love to meet Cassandra Clare, she has such an amazing imagination." I tell her.

"Huh, maybe I'll give them a try?" She asks and I gape at her.

"What?" She asks.

"You? Want to read?" I ask in disbelief.

"Why not? I get bored too you know." She says with a giggle.

"Ok, well I don't have that many pages left so give me like 10 minutes or something and I'll be done." I tell her and she nods while pulling out her phone.

Half an hour later and I'm a few chapters into the second book while Georgia is reading the first.

"I don't know how you can read with them staring at you the whole time." She whispers none to quietly.

I roll my eyes and sigh.

"I just, don't notice them when I'm doing something I can lose myself in, something where I'm not really thinking, I'm just feeling it, like when I write music or just play it." I try to explain, feeling a smile come across my face as I feel a warmth in my stomach. I look over at Georgia and see that she's smiling at me. "What?" I ask.

"Who knew you were such a passionate person?" She asks, her voice soft. I shift uncomfortably under her gaze and turn back to my book.

"Ok, it's official, I can't concentrate any longer, can we please move into the music room and you could teach me something, just please, lets do something else, we've been reading for the past 2 and a half hours!" Georgia complains and I giggle.

"Fine, we can go into the music room but I'm not playing anything, I don't play in front of people." I tell her.

"But Mia!" She complains.

"Fine." I give in, not wanting an argument. "Erm, Mr, bodyguard sir?" I ask, nervously. "Erm, can we move into the music room please?"

"Of course." He says, all seriousness before radioing to the other police officers. "If you'll just allow me to go first." the an says.

Georgia and I follow him out of the living room and up the stairs. It's so weird being guarded and mum and dad keep popping in to check I'm alright, I mean, I love them to pieces but they keep treating me like I'm some sort of china doll or something.

We head into the music room once the bodyguard has checked that the room in 'clean' as they say. The bodyguard takes his place at the door and nods to let us know we can do what we like.

"It's so weird, how can he see properly with those sunglasses on?" Georgia whispers to me as I take a seat at the piano.

"I don't know, maybe they have heat vision technology or something." I suggest, half sarcastically. I lift my fingers to the keys and begin playing a pattern of chords that's managed to worm it's way into my head, and that's when I realise that it's the chords to a song I've been working on for Olly as a bonus track.

"That sounds really nice." Georgia says encouragingly and, with a quick glance at the bodyguard, I play up until the middle 8 section.

"Why's you stop?" Georgia asks as I sigh.
