Mia's POV
It has been a week since that first hug with Niall which had felt like the best thing in the world, especially when he hugged me back, I haven't managed to stop smiling since that moment. We have been spending everyday together without fail, he even helped me to unpack when I couldn't leave the house because my mum insisted on all of the boxes being unpacked even though we were only going to be here for 9 weeks.
We were only going to have 9 weeks together, and one of those weeks has already passed...I can't think like that, I need to stay positive and spend my time with Niall wisely. Although we have only known each other a week I still feel like I have known him for much longer than that, and my parents can see that I like him, and they never fail to embarrass me at every possible moment.
Since my parents decided that Mullingar seems like a safe neighbourhood and they consider me to be quite responsible, they told me that I could stay home alone for one night because they have to go to Dublin for two days. When they told me this, I actually squealed because I was so happy that they were finally going to trust me to stay home alone. I have no doubt however that they asked Bobby to check up on me a few times to make sure that I wasn't destroying the house or anything. I loved my parents but did they really have to be that protective? They were never like this in London. I could do whatever I wanted there, well, within reason. They're leaving today and I can't wait to be allowed to eat ice-cream in the living room without being told off. Ok, so that isn't a very rebel thing to do, but I was content anyway.
After finally getting my parents to the front door, agreeing with the long stream of warnings that my mum was telling me, like to not open the door to strangers and that they weren't expecting any parcels or anything like that so I was only to open the door to Niall or Bobby. I just nod my head as I gently guide her out of the door and then wave them goodbye as they set off for Dublin. As soon as they are out of sight I go back into the house and start to make some breakfast, surprisingly I want pancakes instead of cheerios.
I'm just about to start measuring the ingredients when there is a knock on the door. It must be Niall since I had text him telling him that I was making pancakes just before my parents left and that he should come over once they had gone. I walk to the door and look through the spy hole just to make sure that it is Niall, and it is. He steps inside like a little excited puppy.
"Hand over the pancakes and nobody gets hurt!" He says while holding his hand up as if it's a gun, the way that his eyes shine at the thought of pancakes makes me giggle.
"I haven't had the chance to make them yet but they will be ready soon." I say, still laughing at his enthusiasm.
I lead the way to the kitchen with Niall trailing behind me trying to contain his excitement at the prospect of getting pancakes.
Having made the pancake mix I begin to cook them with Niall watching eagerly from behind me.
"If you want you could try to find some toppings, I think that they're in the cupboard to the left." I tell him with a smile. He excitedly leaps over to the cupboard and begins rummaging through it. He soon finds the squeezy chocolate sauce and golden syrup, he turns around much too quickly while asking.
"Is this them?" But since he doesn't know that the top to the chocolate sauce is broken, the sauce comes soaring out and all over me. His face is one of complete shock until I start to laugh seemingly uncontrollably. The look on his face is the funniest thing I think that I have ever seen.
"I...I'm so sorry..." He stutters.
"Its fine honestly, so long as you don't mind me doing this!" I say whilst grabbing the spoon that's full of pancake mix and flicking its contents over him.
