"Mia! We leave in 5 minutes! I am not going to miss the boys in the final!" Jade shouts up to me.
"I'm coming! I'm coming!" I call back. "It's not like I have cracked ribs or anything." I say under my breath as I try to pull my dark blue skinny jeans without hurting myself...I'm not successful.
"Can someone come and help me please!" I call out.
Charlie comes rushing into my room and helps me into my jeans.
"You know you're going to be cold in that right?" she tells me, looking at my loose, summer top.
"Yes but anything else hurts or isn't nice enough for the x-factor finals! I mean, they're giving us front row seat!" I tell her. "Plus, apparently it gets really hot in there."
"Yes but still, can't you at least put a coat on for the journey?"
"Who are you? My mother?" I tease.
"Yes? What? Is everything alright in here?" Mum asks, sticking her head round the door.
"Nothing mum, it's fine." I tell her.
"I hope you're wearing a jacket with that." she tells me.
"See!" Charlie says, childishly.
"Fine, I'll wear Niall's hoody over the top but I'm taking it off when we get there." I give in.
"Good, now lets go." Charlie says as I pull my right arm into Niall's hoody and find my sunglasses next to my handbag.
A week has passed since I was attacked by Kyle Cooper and most of my bruises don't hurt much any more and have mostly faded, nothing a bit of make up can't fix but my ribs still hurt when I move in certain ways and when there's too much pressure on them and I'm still all bandaged up...hence the inappropriate top, it occurs to me that I should go jumper shopping soon.
"Mia! Finally! Ok, let's go otherwise they won't be able to let us in early!" Georgia says excitedly.
"Alright but don't walk so fast!" I scold as she tries to drag me along.
"Sorry. I'm just really excited!" she tells me.
"Oh really? I never would have guessed." I say sarcastically.
"Oh come on! Like you aren't excited!" she says and I can't help but grin.
"Ok, that's Georgia, Mia, Mr and Mrs Heart, Jade, Halli and...we're missing someone!" Charlie says, looking around frantically.
"It's you, you doof!" Halli laughs, reaching a hand out of the crowded stretch limo to tug her in.
"Right! Yes! Ok! We are good to go!" She calls to the driver as she slams the door shut.
"How are your ribs?" Dad asks and I grimace.
"Not too bad as long as I stay sitting up straight." I tell him.
"I knew there would be a bright side to all of this! At least your posture will improve!" Dad jokes and I fake glare at him.
The girls giggle and I glare at them in turn.
"Don't encourage him!" I say. "Mum!" I say, waiting for her to come to my aid.
"Sorry honey but that was a good one." She laughs.
I sigh and look out of the window so that they don't see me smiling.
We arrive and I hear the driver's door open and close before our door is opened. My parent's are first out and the screaming is deafening from all the people waiting to go in.
