Mia's POV

Niall follows me inside as I ask one of the servers if there is anyone waiting for us and she directs us round a corner. We’re met by Louis and Georgia who are holding hands and Georgia’s giggling at something that Louis’s said, I smile as I take the chair next to Georgia, the events of earlier momentarily forgotten. Niall sits down next to me and Georgia grins at me, her cheeks are slightly flushed which tells me that she hasn’t stopped smiling for a while.

“Hey guys! Where are the others?” Louis says, grinning over at us.

“Don’t know, Niall needed some help finding a present for his mum so I said that I would help and went off without the others.” I explain with a shrug but Georgia’s nudging me gently under the table and giving me a knowing smile.

“And what did you get her?” Louis asks, giving Niall an over exaggerated expectant look.

“Well nothing as yet, but Mia suggested that I get her a personalised T-shirt with a picture of us on to show her support.” Niall says.

“Oh, why didn’t you go to that place off Oxford Street where we went before?” Georgia asks me and my smile vanishes and I can feel Niall’s worried gaze on me.

“Well…” Niall begins giving me a cautious look.

“Niall it’s ok…you can tell them.” I say and he frowns slightly before explaining what happened and for once Louis doesn’t have anything to say. I look down at my hands which are resting on my lap, not even looking up when he finishes but I can feel their eyes on me. Thankfully I don’t have to face any questions or any pity because just then Harry, Liam and Zayn walk in.

“Sorry we got a bit lost…” Liam begins but trails off, clearly sensing the strained atmosphere that is surrounding our table. I can’t bring myself to hear the story again so I get up and head for the bathroom and I can feel the burn of everyone’s eyes on me. Even without looking I can tell that Harry, Zayn and Liam are confused and worried while Georgia and Louis are looking worried and there is probably pity in their eyes while Niall probably looks as if he wants to follow and yet he can’t. I push that from my mind as I push the bathroom door open.

I lean with my hands on the edge of the sink and look into the mirror. I am pleased to see that my makeup doesn’t look too bad and my eyes are no longer puffy from crying.

“Are you ok?” A voice asks behind me and I look at the reflexion of Georgia in the mirror as I nod my head, I hadn’t even heard her come in.

“Yeah, just a little shaken I guess.” I admit as I turn to face her. She pulls me into a hug before holding me by the shoulders at arms-length.

“You know you can talk to me about anything right? And that I’m here for you?” She asks and I give her a small smile.

“Of course I do, and I’ve been through worse…it’s just the initial shock of it that upset me the most but I’m ok now.”

“Ok, well if you ever need to talk just give me a call.” She says and hugs me once more before leading me back to the table where the guys are laughing. I get a few sympathetic looks as I sit down but I give them all a reassuring smile, seemingly lightening the mood. Our conversations are mostly people telling stories, well all except Louis who would interject a few ‘helpful’ comments that tended to make everyone laugh. As we gather up our things to leave I hear rather than feel my phone vibrate as I sling my bag over my shoulder. It’s a text from my mum.

*What would you and the others like for dinner tonight? Your father and I have decided to get takeout. Xxx*

I look up from my phone as I think about what I want and for once Niall can’t say Nandos since we have just had that for lunch but since it’s Niall he’ll probably suggest it anyway.
