'So this is little Kyra,' Holly grinned going through the pictures on her white iPhone 3G S. 'She was one at the end of August.'
'She is so cute,' Ecie crooned. 'When can I see her?'
'I don't know,' Holly replied. 'Maybe sometime next week.'
'That's so exciting,' Ecie said grinning. 'What does it feel like being a mom now?'
'It is the weirdest thing ever,' Holly said. 'I remember right after she was born and I just thought that it was the strangest thing. A second ago I wasn't a mom, but now I was. I couldn't get my head around it. I'm just filled with all this love and it doesn't go away at all.'
Ecie grinned. 'That is so awesome.'
'It is,' Holly nodded putting her cell phone away. 'I hate being away from her for so long, but I want to give her the best things in life.'
'That is totally understandable,' Ecie nodded. 'I just really want to meet her.'
'She will love you,' Holly grinned. 'I can just feel it now.'
Lauren came up to them.
'How did you find your first day?' Holly asked smiling at Lauren. 'Did you enjoy it?'
'Are you kidding?' Lauren grinned. 'I absolutely loved it. This is the best day of my life and I will remember it for the rest of my life. Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity and I promise that you will not regret it.'
'That's okay,' Holly replied. 'I'm sure you'll really enjoy working here.'
'Thank you,' Lauren said again. 'I just can't stop smiling. My cheeks are beginning to hurt.'
'Well I've got finish off some stuff, but I'll see you tomorrow morning at nine?'
'Yeah,' Ecie nodded hugging Holly. 'I'll see you then and send my love to Ryan and Kyra.'
'I will,' Holly smiled. 'Have a good night in LA tonight ladies.'
'I can drive you home,' Ecie said as they put on their seatbelts. 'You can come over to the apartment for a bit, if you want.'
'Okay,' Lauren nodded as Ecie started the engine then reversed out of her parking space. 'This is just the best thing in the world.'
Ecie laughed. 'You are so cute.'
'I'm being really embarrassing now, aren't I?'
'No,' Ecie laughed. 'You are just so different to the people that I've met. You seem so fresh and cool.'
'Thanks?'
'I'm being serious,' Ecie laughed. 'Anyway, what do you want to do now?'
'I'm so exhausted from today,' Lauren said. 'Too many good things have happened to me today and I am not used to that.'
Ecie smiled as she heard her BlackBerry vibrate in her bag. 'Could you get that?'
Lauren reached for Ecie's bag then pulled out the flashing and vibrating BlackBerry.
'Hey dad,' Ecie said putting it on loudspeaker and plugging it into her car. 'What are you up to?'
'I was just calling to check in with you,' he replied. 'I thought it'd be a bit early to call the apartment.'
'I'm driving home from work,' Ecie replied. 'Did you know that Holly works in LA? She's my boss again.'
'That's good then,' Jonathon said. 'You know somebody already.'
