'I'm thinking about transferring,' Ecie said at breakfast with Verde and Lauren. 'I don't think that USC is really for me.'
'Where were you thinking?' Verde asked.
'I was actually thinking about UCLA,' Ecie replied. 'I've talked to a few people and they think I should have no problem transferring.'
'Why do you want to transfer?' Lauren asked.
'I just think that it was all a bad idea,' Ecie replied. 'It's going to sound really strange, but I can't handle driving so long to get to class, when I can just walk down the street and be at school in two minutes.'
'But what about all that work you've been doing and stuff?' Lauren said.
'It'll be fine,' Ecie replied. 'I think it'll be for the best.'
Verde looked at Ecie. 'So nothing bad happened?'
Ecie looked at Verde and shook her head. 'Nope.'
'Those are really cute shades,' Lauren said changing the awkward atmosphere. 'Where did you get them?'
Ecie took off her sunglasses and looked at them. 'I got them from...'
'Oh my god what happened to your eye?' Lauren asked leaning over the table concerned. 'Are you okay?'
'I'm fine,' Ecie replied putting her sunglasses back on. 'I had an accident with one of the cupboards.'
'Yeah,' Verde nodded. 'I walked into the kitchen just as she hit her face on the open cupboard. It's strange because you wouldn't think E was silly to leave a cupboard door open.'
'Did you get it checked out?' Lauren asked. 'It looks pretty bad.'
'It's fine,' Ecie replied. 'The doctor said it would bruise for a bit but there was no damage to my coroner or anything.'
Lauren nodded.
'I'll be back at about two or something,' Verde said slipping his BlackBerry into his back pocket. 'I'll call you when I finish.'
'Okay,' Ecie nodded. 'I want to sort out some laundry so did you remember to bring everything out?'
'Yeah,' Verde replied. 'I just left everything in a massive pile by my door.'
'Have a good night,' Ecie hugged Verde. 'Try not to come home so drunk this time.'
'Okay,' Verde chuckled. 'I'll catch you later.'
Verde left the apartment and Ecie leant against the door and sighed. She held her forehead in her hands and straightened up and sighed again. She walked into the apartment with her hands on her hips and started cleaning up the kitchen.
'Did you ever tell anyone about us?' Ecie asked opening the oven and putting in a baking tray.
Landon looked at Ecie. 'Huh?'
'Did you ever mention me and you to anyone?' Ecie asked looking back at Landon.
'What are you talking about?' Landon asked confused. 'What's going on?'
'Nothing,' Ecie shook her head and turned the timer on the oven. 'I was curious.'
'The only people that know about you are my parents,' Landon replied. 'I've told my friends I'm seeing a girl, but they don't know who she is.'
Ecie nodded. 'Okay.'
