'How long would we be staying in Spain?' Taylor asked climbing into his car with Esme.

'The whole summer,' Esme replied. 'We have to be around for when mom has the baby though.'

'Oh right,' Taylor nodded starting the engine and driving out of the parking lot. 'When is your dad going?'

'He says he's going in June,' Esme replied. 'And he's coming back either in September or October.'

'That's cool,' Taylor said. 'Well like I said, I'm free for Spain so I guess we'll be spending the summer together.'

'You're going to fly out there with dad aren't you?' Esme said looking at Taylor.

'I didn't say that,' Taylor said. 'Why would you assume that?'

'Because I know you,' Esme replied. 'You're going to go then, aren't you?'

'Yeah,' Taylor said slowly. 'But you're mom won't need me to deliver the baby.'

'You're not going to want to meet my little sibling?'

'You can send me pictures or something,' Taylor replied. 'I just don't think that I need to be there.'

'Fine then,' Esme shrugged. She took a deep breath and shook herself. 'I'm over it.'

'What do you mean "you're over it"?' Taylor said. 'I know you're still mad.'

Esme turned to face Taylor smiling. 'Surprisingly enough, I'm not mad at all. I really am over it.'

Taylor looked at Esme curiously. 'You are?'

Esme nodded happily. 'I am.'

Taylor looked at his girlfriend again then shrugged. 'So you're working tonight?'

'Yep,' Esme replied. 'I'm working all week this week.'

Taylor nodded. 'Are you happy to finally have E home?'

'Yeah,' Esme nodded looking out of the window. 'I've missed her and her crazy ways.'

'The apartment is looking full, now that Lauren has moved in and E's back,' Taylor said turning a corner. 'That's good.'

'Ha,' Esme laughed. 'Well I think it might get a bit fuller when Lauren and Ethan hook up.'

'Yeah, when is that going to happen anyway?' Taylor asked looking at Esme. 'Ethan refuses to talk about it under any circumstances and whenever Lauren's there, it's kind of awkward because the guys just want to know.'

'They'll do it in their own time,' Esme replied. 'They agreed to take things super slow for Lauren, and I think it's good they're not rushing right into sex. This way they get a chance to really get to know each other.'

Taylor laughed. 'Yeah right.'

'What?' Esme looked at Taylor. 'I think it's good.'

'Nothing,' Taylor laughed shaking his head. 'Is here okay to drop you off?'

'Yeah,' Esme said looking at Taylor. 'It's fine. What time will you be back? Or should I get someone else to take me home.'

'You'll have to call E,' Taylor replied. 'I'm going to be going crazy all day, but I'll stop by the apartment later.'

Esme leant across and kissed Taylor on the lips. 'I'll see you later.'

'I love you,' Taylor said as Esme climbed out of the car.

'Oh!' Esme laughed. 'You know you do.'

Taylor laughed as Esme closed the door behind her then drove off.
