'Ecie,' Landon said as he sat down at the dinner with Ecie. 'This is my father Austin and my mom Jill.'
'It's lovely to meet you,' Ecie smiled. 'You've got a really incredible son.'
'Thank you,' Jill smiled. 'I hope you don't mind we took the liberty of ordering all ready.'
'That's okay mom,' Landon said. He squeezed Ecie's hand and smiled at her. 'So what have you guys been up to lately?'
Austin looked at Ecie for a moment before turning back to his son.
'It was lovely meeting you,' Ecie said kissing both of Jill's cheeks. 'I hope that we get to see each other again soon.'
'You too,' Jill smiled. 'You're a wonderful girl.'
'Thank you.'
'Son,' Austin said shaking Landon's hand. 'Take care.'
'Thanks dad,' Landon said. They hugged and nodded at each other. 'Drive safely.'
'Bye,' Ecie said again as their car came to the front of the restaurant. 'It was great meeting you two.'
Landon opened the passenger's door for Ecie before waving at his parents and getting into the driver's seat.
Landon looked across at Ecie as he drove back to her apartment. Ecie was staring out of the window at the bright lights.
'What are you thinking?' Landon asked after a few moments.
Ecie looked at Landon startled.
'You look like you've got something on your mind.'
'Oh, nothing,' Ecie replied shaking her head. 'Your parents are really nice.'
'Yeah,' Landon said. 'I hope you didn't mind meeting them. They just wanted to know what I was up to and stuff.'
'It's cool,' Ecie replied. 'I'm not sure your dad likes me too much.'
'Oh,' Landon laughed. 'Don't mind him. I think he's just worried about what other people will say and stuff. You don't have to worry about him.'
'But your mom is really sweet,' Ecie said. 'They're a cute couple.'
'Yeah,' Landon nodded. He looked at Ecie and bit his bottom lip nervously. 'So what else did you do today?'
'I didn't really do much,' Ecie replied. 'I went to work and I did that assignment you wanted.'
'That's cool,' Landon nodded awkwardly. 'Do you want a quiet night tonight?'
'I think so,' Ecie said resting her head against the cold glass. 'Es is at a party then leaving the country in the morning and Verd's gone to stay with my mom for the weekend.'
'Are you sure you want to spend the weekend alone?'
'I'll be fine,' Ecie replied. 'You don't have to worry about it. Anyway, you've got loads of grading and stuff to do. You don't want to spend the whole weekend with me.'
'I do,' Landon said. 'I want to be with you.'
Landon pulled up outside the Remington building and Ecie stepped out of his car.
'I'll come by and see you on Sunday,' Landon said getting out of the car and kissing Ecie on the lips. 'But I think I'll probably come by tomorrow or something.'
'Please Landon,' Ecie said. 'Just give me a day at least.'
Landon looked at Ecie and nodded. 'Fine.'
'Thank you.'
Landon wrapped his arms around Ecie and kissed her on the lips. 'I love you.'
'Landon,' Ecie said moving away from him. She looked at him for a moment. 'I'll see you on Monday.'
Ecie turned to the building and went inside.
'Did you have a nice evening?' Deeprit asked.
'Yeah,' Ecie nodded. 'It was nice thank you.'
Ecie went into the elevator and got out on the penthouse floor. She switched on the lights as she walked through the door and jumped. 'Oh my god!'
'Hello baby.'
