'Hello Ecie,' Carole smiled as Ecie opened the door and welcomed her into the house. 'This is definitely a change from my office, isn't it?'
'Yeah,' Ecie smiled hugging Carole. 'Thank you so much for coming.'
'That is no problem at all,' Carole smiled. 'I brought my friend with me today. Ecie this is Boston, Boston this is Ecie.'
'It's a pleasure to meet you,' Boston smiled shaking Ecie's hand. 'This is a very nice house too.'
'Thank you,' Ecie smiled. 'But it belongs to my mom and her boyfriend.'
'Well shall we?' Carole smiled.
'Of course,' Ecie nodded. 'This way.' She led them through to the living room. 'Would you like anything to eat or drink?'
'Yes please,' Boston nodded. 'Could I have some orange juice?'
'Carole?'
'Just water.'
'Okay,' Ecie nodded. 'I'll be back in a moment. Just make yourselves feel at home.'
'She seems very nice,' Boston said when Ecie had left the room.
'Don't even think about getting any ideas,' Carole said looking at him. 'That is not why we're here.'
Ecie returned a few minutes later carrying a tray filled with snacks and drinks, and set it down on the coffee table. She sat down and made herself comfortable before looking at Carole.
'Okay then,' Carole nodded. 'We all know why we're here and what we've come to sort out.'
'My life,' Ecie smiled. 'Let's get started.'
'Let's,' Boston smiled. 'I don't know if Carole has told you anything about me yet?'
'Not really,' Ecie replied. 'She's mentioned you a few times.'
'Well as luck would have it, I'm a professional life coach and motivational speaker,' Boston replied. 'I'm going to be the one sorting out your life and Carole will guide you through it.'
'That sounds cool,' Ecie nodded. 'I haven't met many life coaches.'
'Well I think that some would say you were perhaps a little young to have one,' Boston laughed. 'But I don't think you're ever too young to take full control of your life.'
'Me neither,' Ecie smiled. 'Looks like we already have something in common.'
'Right then,' Carole said looking at Boston sternly. 'We need to talk about what you're going to do with yourself now and how this will affect you. Have you given anything any thought?'
'Yeah, I have,' Ecie nodded. 'I was thinking of maybe dropping out of college all together. I can't manage the workload, my mind is all over the place and I don't think it's really appropriate at the moment.'
'Okay,' Carole nodded. 'What would you do instead?'
'I really don't know,' Ecie replied. 'I just figured that I'd take some time off and when I'm ready, I'll think about it.'
'That's fantastic,' Boston grinned. 'Because this is where I come in.'
'It is?'
'It sure is,' he grinned. 'Tell me Ecie, what things are you good at or do you enjoy doing?'
'Surfing, shopping, cheering, although I don't do that anymore,' she replied. 'I did my sister's homework all through high school.'
'That's perfect,' Boston said taking out a note pad and pencil. He jotted down everything Ecie said into a mind map and presented it to her. 'Take a look at this.'
