Lauren rolled off Verde breathlessly laughing and pulled the sheets up to her chest as she caught her breath.

'You can just keep going, can't you?' Lauren laughed scraping her hair back.

'Yeah,' Verde laughed looking across at her. 'When you're ready we can go again.'

Lauren laughed. 'In your dreams. You've got to get out of here so I can get dressed. I'm going to be late.'

'You're such a tease,' Verde grinned kissing her on the lips. 'What do I have to do?'

Lauren laughed as she kissed Verde back then slowly got out of bed. 'I'm seeing you later for Ethan's thing tonight?'

'I'll be there,' Verde nodded watching as Lauren looked for her towel. 'You know, seeing you naked only leaves one thing on my mind.'

'Get out Verde!' Lauren laughed picking up her towel and pressing it against her body. 'I'll see you later.'

Verde nodded then got out of bed and grinned at Lauren before creeping out of her bedroom.

'Can you believe it's raining?' Esme said drinking her tea and reading the morning paper. 'I was looking forward to breakfast on the roof.'

'I like the rain,' Ecie smiled taking a bite of her toast. 'It keeps things fresh and organic and it's good for the environment.'

Esme looked across at her sister. 'Why are you in such a good mood? What's happened?'

'Nothing,' Ecie replied. 'Aren't I allowed to be happy?'

'No,' Esme replied. 'Why are you so happy?'

'I don't know,' Ecie shrugged. 'I guess because I'm seeing Landon today and we've got scouts coming to the gym today for the squad I've been training. I'm excited.'

'Well I suppose that is something to be happy about,' Esme replied. 'Are you going to go to Ethan's thing tonight?'

'I don't know,' Ecie replied. 'We'll have to see what happens today, but maybe. Are you doing anything today?'

Esme nodded as she swallowed some hot tea. 'I'm helping one of Dan's friends with a project.'

'Dan Bushmore?'

'Yeah,' Esme nodded. 'I know we've been back and forth a lot in the past few months, but I can't just let him go. I still love him as a friend.'

Ecie looked at her sister. 'Go on.'

'Well his friend makes movies and he needs to shoot an eight minute piece for his film class, and Dan remembered my amazing acting skills,' Esme replied. 'It's a love story and I've been reading the script for the past week.'

'What did Taylor say?'

'Well I haven't exactly told Taylor that Dan's somehow involved with it,' Esme replied. 'I didn't think he'd want to know that.'

Ecie looked at her sister. 'Really?'

'Stop giving me those looks,' Esme said looking away from her sister. 'I know what I'm doing.'

Ecie looked at her sister.

'Ecie!'

'Fine I'll stop,' Ecie laughed. 'But you know what's coming.'

Esme shrugged.

'Anyway, I've got a concern to share with you,' Ecie said. 'I think that Lauren is cheating on Ethan.'

'And why do you think that, Sherlock?'

'I don't know,' Ecie shrugged. 'Something is just a little off with her.'

'Have you told her this?'

'Sort of,' Ecie replied. 'But I mean I should know better than anyone. I have cheated on every single boyfriend I've ever had.'

'I'm not too sure that's something you should say out loud,' Esme said getting up with her mug in hand. 'Some people might think you were proud of yourself.'

'Es!'

'Hey are you ready?' Lauren asked putting on her brown Elizabeth and James suede knee-high boots.

'Yeah,' Esme smiled. 'I'm all set.'

'Bye Ecie!' Lauren called. 'Good luck today.'

'Thanks,' Ecie called. 'I'll call you at lunch.'

Lauren left the apartment with Esme and went down to the parking lot where they got into Esme's ruby black metallic BMW 650i convertible.

'Are you excited about tonight?' Esme asked as she started the engine and drove out of the parking lot.

'Yeah,' Lauren replied. 'I've never seen Ethan play before and I think it'll be fun. Do you know who else is coming?'

'E said she'll try and come,' Esme replied. 'I'm guessing that Taylor'll be there and so will the guys.'

'Okay,' Lauren nodded. 'I told Verd about it, and he says he'll try and make it too.'

'That's awesome,' Esme said. 'Then maybe afterwards we can all go out for drinks.'

'I can't wait,' Lauren grinned. 'It's going to be so good.'

Esme nodded and glanced over at her best friend. 'So everything is good with Ethan?'

'Yeah,' Lauren replied. 'Why?'

'Well you know E,' Esme laughed. 'There's always got to be a problem.'

'I know,' Lauren laughed. 'She told me that I reminded her of herself when she was cheating. I wasn't sure how to react.'

'Just as long as you know that E only means well,' Esme replied. 'She does this a lot.'

'I know,' Lauren smiled. 'I'm not mad or anything, I'm happy that she pays such close attention to me. It reminds me that she cares for me and that she'll always be there.'

'I honestly feel like we all met in a past life or something,' Esme laughed. 'You really just fit right in with us and there's no hassle. It's perfect.'

'Creepy, isn't it?' Lauren laughed.
