'Last night was so tasty,' Esme said as she sat on the beach with Ecie. 'I have missed Clive's cooking so much.'
'It's so good that he's made us loads of food to take back,' Ecie sighed drying herself off. 'I feel like I've just burned off all of last night's calories.'
Esme laughed. 'I guess it means they'll be loads of space for the barbeque.'
'I know,' Ecie laughed. 'I cannot wait to stuff my face with food. I love that Eric is an amazing chef.'
'If he wasn't then he wouldn't be very good at his job,' Esme said getting up and drying herself with her towel. She looked through her things for her loose black T by Alexander Wang muscle tee. 'What do you think of them building a house in Spain?'
'I think it's cute,' Ecie said tightening her towel around her body and taking off her bikini. 'Although I have to say that I was hoping they would announce a pregnancy.'
Esme looked at her sister as she put on some dry bikini bottoms and pulled on her white CU tennis Adidas by Stella McCartney shorts. 'I don't know how I'd feel about that.'
'I think it would be really great,' Ecie said putting on a dry bikini top and her red Adidas by Stella McCartney gym scoop-neck sweater and removing her towel. 'I feel like mom doesn't really understand or know how to commit to something unless she makes it personal.'
Esme stared at her sister confused then pulled on her Juicy Couture track pants. 'It would be weird having another sibling, especially a younger one. Besides, they don't need a baby to help their relationship.'
Ecie shrugged as she smoothed her hands down her front then sighed. 'Did you talk to Taylor?'
'Not yet,' Esme replied. 'I'm still just trying to work out the pros and the cons of doing it. I don't know how he's going to take it.'
'You didn't do anything wrong,' Ecie looked at her sister. 'Dylan planted it on you. You weren't to know what was going to happen.'
Esme nodded. 'I just keep thinking about it.'
'Maybe you like Dylan too,' Ecie said. 'It happens.'
Esme shot her sister a look then picked up her surfboard. 'I really doubt that.'
'I was only saying,' Ecie giggled picking up her surfboard and walking up the beach with Esme. 'That would make things a lot more interesting.'
'Oh you would just love that, wouldn't you?' Esme laughed.
'I just think that it's about time you're finding adventure and drama in your life,' Ecie said. 'It makes me feel more normal.'
'I don't like having drama in my life though,' Esme said. 'You were born to have some kind of drama in your life. I was born to be calm and mellow. I can't do that when I've got loads of issues.'
'Okay, that may be true,' Ecie agreed. 'But I'm just so busy with everything. There's school, and work, and relationships, and cheering. I'm so full.'
'Oh that reminds me,' Esme said as they walked to Ecie's car. 'There's a job vacancy at a bar near the apartment. I was thinking of maybe checking it out.'
Ecie burst into peals of laughter as she opened her car door and they put their boards into the back.
'What?'
'Seriously?'
'What's wrong with it?' Esme asked. 'At least then there'll be two sources of income in the house.'
'It's just funny,' Ecie laughed. 'I can't imagine you working in a bar. Guy's will be trying to give you their numbers and they'll be pestering you so much. You think Dylan's a problem now? You just wait til you work in a bar.'
