'Okay,' Ecie nodded. 'I slept with Landon again.'
'Right,' Carole said. 'But this time, you knew he was your professor?'
Ecie nodded. 'I know it's really bad, but I really like him. I keep thinking about Palm Springs and how great things were and I can't shake these feelings. When our lips touch, it's like something I've never experienced before.'
'Didn't we agree on, no guys in college?'
'We did,' Ecie said. 'But I really like him.'
'But he's your professor Ecie,' Carole said leaning forward and clasping her hands. 'He is your teacher and you are his student. Do you understand how irresponsible it is of you to do this?'
'I know that I shouldn't and I really do understand that,' Ecie replied. 'I just can't help it; but I need your help, to tell me what I should do.'
Carole sat back in her seat and sighed. She closed her eyes for a second then took a deep breath as she thought.
'Carole?'
'Well,' she thought. She licked her bottom lip. 'I suppose that nobody ever died from sleeping their professor.'
Ecie looked at Carole. 'So what do I do?'
'You need to act very mature about all this,' Carole replied. 'I'm can't tell you what to do and what you should not do. I'm only here to guide you.'
'Okay,' Ecie nodded. 'Guide me.'
'If you're going to really do this, you have got to be prepared to face the consequences,' Carole said. 'People are going to find out and there will be lots of trouble. Landon could lose his job and may never be able to teach again. Do you understand?'
Ecie nodded.
'You can't expect him to treat you any differently to any of his other students,' Carole went on. 'He will have to be unbiased and at times he may be harsh; but you must know it's just because of all the stress that he'll be under.'
Ecie nodded. 'So I should keep seeing him?'
'College is filled with enough distractions without throwing in anymore into the mix,' Carole replied. 'I would not advise this affair because it can get dangerous.'
'You think that Landon and I should talk about this properly, don't you,' Ecie replied. 'You want us to really think about this.'
'Yes, I do,' Carole nodded. 'It'll be for the best and at least that way you'll know if it's totally worth the risk.'
'Okay,' Ecie nodded. 'Thank you.'
Carole nodded. 'So do we have Landon sorted?'
Ecie nodded. 'We've got him sorted.'
'Good then,' Carole said. 'What else is happening in LA for you?'
'I've met this really nice girl and we've become friends,' Ecie replied. 'I really wanted her to come home this weekend and meet my family and stuff, but I think she was a little nervous about it.'
Carole nodded.
'I don't know,' Ecie said. 'She gets weird about things, but I just want to include her in stuff. I get the feeling that she wants to experience so much stuff, but she's always restricting herself because she'll never join in.'
'Do you want her to come to Malibu?'
'Yeah,' Ecie said. 'I just want her to know that we're friends and she doesn't need to shy away from anything. College is about ultimate experiences and this is a big one. I wanted her to feel comfortable and that she can fit in with my family.'
