'What?' Taylor groaned as he rubbed his eyes.
'Nothing,' Esme smiled. 'I just like watching you sleep.'
'What time is it?'
'Eleven.'
'And how long have you been watching me sleep for?' Taylor asked rolling over and sitting up in bed.
'A couple hours,' Esme smiled kneeling behind Taylor and kissing his neck. 'I was thinking about how cute our babies would look.'
'Oh really,' Taylor grinned turning his head. 'Do you want to start now.'
'Actually,' Esme laughed. 'I was thinking that maybe we could talk about something else instead.'
'Oh?'
'Yeah,' Esme smiled. 'It'll be fine.'
'And what do you want to talk about while we could be having some pretty awesome sex?'
'I'll have you know that you're a big talker,' Esme said getting off the bed and tying up her hair. She stood by the window and looked down at Hermosa Beach. 'You like to talk, but sometimes, sometimes you don't always live up to your big words.'
'Really?' Taylor cocked his head.
'Really,' Esme nodded. 'But it's cool because I like to indulge you anyway. Sex makes me happy.'
'So basically you use me?' Taylor got up from the bed and walked to window, standing behind Esme. 'You use me for sex?'
'That is completely beside the point,' Esme turned to Taylor. 'We're going off topic here.'
'Okay then,' Taylor nodded smoothing some of Esme's hair back. 'What is the topic here?'
'Well the summer is coming up,' Esme said slowly. 'And your lease is ending pretty much at about the same time we come back from Spain.'
Taylor nodded slowly. 'Am I supposed to know where this is going?'
'How about, instead of you coming back here after Spain, you leave your stuff at the apartment?' Esme looked at Taylor expectantly. 'What do you think?'
'That's cool,' he nodded. 'I was going to sort out the stuff with the apartment before we went to Spain, so that everything would be in order when we got back.'
Esme shook her head. 'I don't think you get what I'm trying to say.'
'I'm guessing not,' Taylor laughed. 'Are we not on the same page?'
'Apparently not,' Esme said. 'You know what, forget it. It doesn't even matter.'
'Are you sure?' Taylor asked as Esme walked away from the window.
'How about we just start making babies instead,' Esme sat cross-legged on the bed. 'We can talk afterwards.'
'That is fine by me,' Taylor grinned approaching the bed. 'What kind of kids do you want?'
'The smart kind,' Esme replied as Taylor kissed her neck. 'Not the stupid kind, like you.'
'Actually,' Taylor said. 'My twin never did all of my homework, so technically, you're the stupid one.'
'Shut up,' Esme pushed Taylor down to the bed. 'You're still the stupid one.'
'Why do I have to be the stupid one?' Taylor said as Esme lay on him.
'Because you're a guy and guys are stupid,' Esme replied kissing Taylor. 'Why can't you be more like girls? Girls are smart, instinctual. You know, like how mothers know everything about their kids.'
'You're mad,' Taylor said looking at Esme and turning her over to that she was lying on the bed and he was on top of her. 'What did I do this time?'
'It doesn't matter,' Esme said. 'You're a guy and you're stupid. You're just a stupid guy.'
'And right now you're just a bitch.'
Esme placed her hand on Taylor's chest. 'Excuse me?'
'You're being a bitch right now,' Taylor breathed. 'What did I do?'
'I said its fine...'
'What did I do...?'
'It's fine...'
'Esme...'
'Taylor...'
'Shut up... just... shut up.'
'Fine...'
Esme breathed heavily as she looked up at Taylor and started laughing.
'What now?'
'This is our first fight sex,' Esme laughed. 'It's funny.'
Taylor looked down at Esme. 'You're still a bitch.'
'And you're still stupid. Guy.'
Taylor grinned then kissed Esme on the lips 'I love you.'
'And this is what I mean about all the talk,' Esme said. 'Is that seriously it?'
'I love you too,' Taylor kissed Esme again.
