'Thank you so much for a great day,' Lauren said as Ecie dropped her off at the USC campus. 'It has been so great.'
'You're welcome,' Ecie smiled. 'It was really great meeting you today and hanging out. I had so much fun.'
'Yeah,' Lauren smiled. 'It was pretty awesome,' she opened her door and jumped down. 'I'll see you tomorrow.'
'Okay,' Ecie nodded. 'Will you be able to get there okay? I don't mind coming and getting you.'
'Thanks,' Lauren nodded. 'That would be so great.'
'Okay,' Ecie smiled. 'I'll be here at about eight thirty and I'll call you when I'm outside.'
'Thanks,' Lauren said again. 'I feel like that's the only thing I've been saying today.'
'Its fine,' Ecie replied. 'I'll see you tomorrow.'
Lauren nodded then closed the door and stepped back as Ecie waved at her and drove off.
'I'm going to stop off at Starbucks and get us some drinks,' Ecie replied as she turned onto National Boulevard. 'I think there's a taco place near there.'
'Okay,' Esme replied. 'I'm just coming back from the library.'
'Did you have a bad day?'
'I'll tell you about it when we get home,' Esme replied. 'What about you?'
'Same,' Ecie replied. 'It will take a little longer than a phone call.'
'Okay,' Esme replied. 'I feel like there is so much for us to talk about.'
'I know,' Ecie replied. 'Today has been a crazy day.'
'Tell me about it,' Esme agreed. 'Could you get me a really big Starbucks? I think I want coffee or something.'
'That's cool,' Ecie nodded. 'Then when we get back we can order takeout or something.'
'Sure,' Esme replied. 'I just want to go home.'
'So do I,' Ecie said. 'Home has never sounded so good.'
'Maybe we could go back tomorrow?'
'Dad called me today and said that he was going to Canada with Ross and Emily tonight to see Cassie,' Ecie replied. 'I'm not even sure if mom and Eric are around.'
'Well we can just sort it out when we get back to the apartment,' Esme replied.
'Okay,' Ecie said. 'Anyway, I've got to go and call Carole about something. I'll see you when I get back?'
'You must have had quite a day,' Esme said.
'Like you have no idea,' Ecie replied. 'Actually, I'll just pick up some takeout on our way home.'
'Okay then,' Esme said. 'I'll see when you get back.'
'See you in a bit.'
Esme hung up and looked out of the window. She sighed before starting the engine and driving off in the direction of home.
'Hey Carole,' Ecie said.
'Hello Ecie,' Carole smiled. 'How was it today?'
'Good?' Ecie replied. 'We have a little problem.'
'Oh?'
'Yeah,' Ecie said. 'I don't really know how to say it.'
