The Surprise Finally.....

We walked briskly down the hall trying to keep up with Dana. Man, she moves fast. "Almost there", she said. " It's just at the end of the hall." We walked for another two or three minutes when Dana suddenly stopped. "All right, a few doors down is where the surprise is. They don't know we are coming. Just follow me." We nodded. We walked the few doors down to the room. Dana walked in and announced,"Guess who i've brought!". They all shrugged and we walked in behind her. Zane, Kai, Andre, and a few other people were in the room, some lounging around and some playing video games.

"Wait, is that....", said a tall brown-haired girl.

"No way....", said an older brown-haired boy about my age.

"Hey Em. Hey Sera. See? I told you they were here.", said Andre.

"Well, I see that now. How many people all ready know?", asked the same brown-haired boy.

"Ummm.... pretty much the whole kingdom.", Kai explained.

"Oh. Why do we always find things out last?", the brown-haired boy whined.

"Well, Tavien, maybe it's because we are sitting inside all day every day and not going outside hearing the latest gossip in the kingdom.", the blonde-haired girl stated.

"Oh.", Tavien said.

"Yeah...", She stated again.

"Well, when you get a new video game every two weeks, you feel the need for beating them, Alyssa."

"Ok, at least Rebecca and Louis go out swimming every day." Just then we saw them pop through the diving hole. "There they are now."

"Hey guys!", the two said.

"Hey!", they all greeted them.

"So... Where'd you go today?", Tavien asked them.

"Over to the shipyard and back", Louis explained.

"The shipyard?!? What were you doing there? You know it's dangerous!", Alyssa exclaimed.

"Well, yeah. But, we were careful." Rebecca defended.

"I don't care if you were careful or not. You could have been seen!", Alyssa fussed.

"Awe. Come on, Alyssa, they're just kids. Let them have their fun. It's not like they were seen or anything.", Tavien interrupted.

"Yeah, but, they could have been seen! That's the issue. They shouldn't be playing around there."

"Alyssa, chill. They're kids. They can hide themselves a lot more easily than adults can. Plus, how many mermaid sightings have had children involved? Ninety-nine percent of them are of adults. Trust me. They're safe."
