My name is Zachary Stevens. My dad's a mermaid hunter. My dad married a mermaid, but he doesn't know that. I'm half mer. I can still have a tail, but, unlike mermaids, I can control when I get my tail, but it takes practice. He wants me to follow in his footsteps as a mermaid hunter, but I don't want to. It's not right. It's like hunting down people. Plus, it's like hunting down one of my own. I'm actually on a boat with him right now 'helping him'. So far, every mermaid that escapes from him is helped by me. "Zach, you spend too much time down there. Come spend some time up here.", my dad called down to me.
"Boss! We got one!", one of the crew members shouted.
"Get away from me. Get your sticky paws off of me. Don't touch me. I can get up just fine on my own, thank you.", said a mermaid with blonde hair.
"Boys, leave her. Ah, Stella, what news have you brought?", my dad asked
"Well, for one, guess who's back in Aquadia - two who's in fact."
"Who?"
"The princesses, Emerald and Seraphina."
"Really? The princesses that have magic in them? The ones who are destined to rule? Those two?"
"Yep.", she said popping the p. "Their siblings are showing them around town. You know the two youngest, Rebecca and Louis. They play over by the shipyard. If you could capture them...."
"I could get to the targets."
"Fantastic. You're getting this so fast."
"Ha ha. Very funny. Now, go. I need you to gather more information."
"Yes sir!", she fake saluted. And dove in.
