"Are you sure? How do you know he wasn't lying.", Sera asked.

"I just do. I checked everything when he was saying it - his heart rate, his facial expressions, etc.", I told them.

"Besides, why would I want to hurt my best friend.", Jake put in.

"Why'd you let him out?!", Tavien yelled.

I glared at Tavien. "Because I'm going to be your guide.", Jake told them.

"What?!", they all yelled.

"Why?", Emerald asked.

"Because I am the only one who will be able to show you the way.", Jake replied.

"Ok. Does this seem a little too much like The Lord of the Ring to anyone else? He's Smeagol and we are the hobbits.", Kai said. As soon as he said that, everyone broke out laughing.

"Only you, Kai, only you.", Zayn gasped between breaths.

"What? I love that movie! I can't wait for the rest of The Hobbit to come out! I've been dying to see it!"

"Me too, bro. It's such an epic movie-"

"Hey! boys, back to the topic at hand.", I reminded them.

"Right. Sorry."

I turned to Jake. "Is everything ready to go?" He nodded. "Good." I turned back to the kids. "Alright. Now that everything is taken care of, let's go to the back porch. I'll meet you there." I went to my bedroom. Adrian was there. "Hey."

"Hey.", he replied. "You all going to get Dana.

"Yeah. You coming?"

He shook his head. "Na. I think I would be better off here."

I looked at him confused. "Why?"

"Look at me, Elizabeth. I'm a mer-king. I can fight underwater just fine. It's fighting above water that's the issue. I have no idea how. I'll only slow you down." He sighed.

"But you're a marvelous fighter. I've seen you."

"That was one time. I don't even know if I'll be able to again. Go on without me."

I sighed. "Ok. Are you sure you'll be alright on your own for a few hours?"

He looked into my eyes. "Yes. I'll be fine. Look. I'll even go down to my kingdom while you are gone. You can send one of the kids down to get me when you are back. Ok?" I nodded my head. "Oh. I almost forgot." He pulled out a small box and handed it to me. "Here." I opened it to find a pearl bracelet. "It will protect and heal you. Just promise me everyone will come back."

I smiled. "Don't worry. We will." Standing up I hugged him and left the room tower up with the others. I walk outside to find everyone sitting in the grass pulling up weeds and ripping them to shreds. "Hey!" They all looked up at me. "Who wants to go get Dana?"
Standing up, they walked over to me. "Jake, pull out the map." He grabbed a rolled up tube of paper and laid it out in front of us.

"She's located there." He pointed to a dot in a wooded area. "It's about ten miles away. The underbrush is too thick to drive in. The location is also too far to run as a person." He turned to me. "I suppose you've taught them how to shift?" I nodded. "Good. We'll run there as wolves." He paused. "Any questions?" Emerald put her hand up. "Yes?"

"Ok. I have two or the
three questions. Number one, do werewolves have a mind link?" He nodded. "Will we be using it?" He nodded again. Last one, what should we call you?"

"How about Uncle J. Does that sound good?"

"Ok. Thanks."

"No problem. Here." He passed around pocket sized knives. "Use these in case we need to fight, and you don't feel comfortable fighting in your wolf form."

"Ready to go?", I asked Jake.

"Yep. I think they're all prepared." With that said. We all walked over to the edge of the woods, walked behind some trees, transformed, and came out as wolves carrying our clothes in our mouths.

"Now, let's go find Dana.", I spoke in our mind link and ran off leading the way.
