Riiinnnggg!!!

The bell rang and I knew math class was over. I walked out the classroom and down the hall to my locker. Sera wasn't here today. I wonder why.

I put in the combination on my lock and opened my locker. I put my books that I don't need for my next class in my locker and grabbed the books that I will need and put them in my messenger bag.

I started walking down the hall when I felt a hand on my left shoulder. "Hey, man.", I said.

Nate popped into view. "Hey.", he replied.

"Guess who is going to school here this year."

"Who?"

"Guess." His nose scrunched up in thought.

"Uh, I don't know, one of your friends?"

I shook my head. "It's not just anybody, Nate. It's Prince Andre and his sisters."

His eyes went wide. "Wait. THE Prince Andre? The pure royals? Woah. And you're friends with him?" I nodded my head. "Wow. How old are his sisters?"

"They're Sophomores and a Junior." Nate nodded his head. Suddenly, I heard someone shouting at the end of the hall. I pointed toward where the noise was coming from. "Hey, let's go see what that noise is."

"Okay." We walked down the hall toward the sound. Rounding a corner, I saw Sera yelling at someone. She stopped yelling and turned around coming face-to-face with Sera.

"Hey", I said.

"Hey", she returned.

"You weren't at math today. Two hours have passed."

"Yeah, well, I was showing my brothers and sisters around." She moved to show her family smacking someone on the head. She turned around and smacked them all on the head. "Hey! Enough!" She turned back around to face me. "Sorry." Someone walked around and stood beside Sera. He walked up to me and put his hand up for a high-five. I stuck my hand up and smacked it.

"Hey, man! Long time, no see.", Andre greeted.

"So, I heard you were coming to school here for the year. How are things down under?", I asked him.

"Yeah! How'd you know? Things are good. My dad is finally back up with my mom. Turns out, my mom has a whole secret life we never knew about."

"My father has his sources - annoying sources. Well, I'm sorry to say, but everyone already knew."

"Oh. Stella? Oh. Ok."

"Yeah. She was doing a whole mind game with us until we finally got upset at her."

"So - your dad - does he know yet?"

"Nope.", I said popping the p. "I hope he never does, either." The warning bell rang. "Well, I'd better get to class. Mr. Travinsky isn't very happy when you're late. And, judging by the time, I'm going to be late anyways."

"Wait. I thought Mr. Travinsky taught ninth grade biology.", Sera asked me.

"Not anymore. He moved up a level and a class."

"Oh shoot. Oh shoot. Oh shoot. Oh -"

"Sera, calm down. It's not that bad."

"Yes it is!!!" A very pretty girl stepped out of the crowd Sera called her brothers and sisters. Mate. This is who I'm supposed to spend the rest of my life with.

"Wait. Who? What's his name?", she asked.

"Mr. Travinsky.", I answered. Her eyes grew big. She turned to face her brothers. Their faces matched hers.

"Zach, he's the leader of the rouge merpeople who attacked the city years ago.", she told me
