Hiding places

We ran out of Dana's room into my room. She said we each have a hiding spot in our rooms. Where is mine? I slowly looked around the room, taking everything in. Dana's was behind a wall of vines. Think, Sera, think! Where would a group of mermaid/merman brother and sisters of mine hide my hiding spot. I looked at a particularly thick patch of netting on the wall. I walked over to it and let my hand slide along the wall behind it when I felt a small doorknob. I slowly turned it until it opened. It swung inward, and I felt around for a light. I could see great in the dark, but where's the fun in that. Finally, I found a light and flicked it on. The whole room was suddenly illuminated by the fluorescent light. The sight I saw was breathtaking. It was a small room about the size of a medium-sized bathroom. It had blue walls. There a couch with black and white cushions on it. The couch was white. The floor was hardwood with a blue shag carpet in front of the couch. There was even a toilet and sink in a corner with a curtain that goes around it. And of all things, there was a mini fridge - with food in it!!! Yes!!! I took another quick look around and spotted a Xbox 360 with a kinect and all the video games one could ever want. Some haven't even come out yet. :) I took out my phone - yes I still have my phone - and snapped a few pictures. 'There, a few pictures for mom.' I thought. I ran out of my secret abode and made sure to turn off the light on my way out. As I walked out my room, I noticed Em waiting for me with Dana. "Did you like it?", Dana asked me.

"Yeah. I thought it was pretty great.", I told her.

"Good. Now let's go find that surprise. Follow me", she said and took off down the hall.
