On Time

I walked down the hall as quickly as possible to get to my classroom. I really didn't feel like feeling the wrath of Mr. Travinsky at the moment, especially not today because it is my birthday! I mean, who wants to have a detention slapped in their face on their birthday. The warning bell already rang. I'm just a little way from his class room. Five more feet. Four, Three, Two, One. I rush to my seat as quickly as possible and sit down with Zane right behind me. Yea!! I made it! Rrriiinnnggg!!!!! Just in time, too.

"Hmm... Well done, Seraphina. It seems that you actually got here on time for once - even if it is right before the bell rang." he congratulated me. " Well, class, since Seraphina actually arrived here on time, we won't do class today." Everyone cheered. "Instead, we will do a disection of a frog, today." Everyone then groaned. "Aww... come on everybody, cheer up. Or do you want a lecture, instead." It became eerily silent. "If you are quiet, you may talk during the disection. Now, everyone, pair up for the disection. One of you, well, disect, and the other one do something to help your partner."

"Hey, Seraphina, want to team up?" Zane asked me.

" Yeah. Sure, We can tag team it. Your it." I joked with him.

" Hey! You're going to have to do some of it, too!" He said shocked.

"I know. I know. I was joking with you."

" Oh." his shocked face went away and his smile came back. "Okay. I knew that."

"Mmm Hmm. Sure you did..."I said picking up a pair of rubber gloves and an apron. His face went back to shocked as I smacked him with a glove and turned around quickly and started whistling.

"What did you do that for!"

"Do what?" I asked innocently.

"No. No. No. No No. Uh uh. Don't you play that with me!"

"I'm sorry. I don't know what you mean."

"Oh. You do too know what I mean. You smacked me with the glove!"

"Oh. You mean this?" I said as I smacked him with my glove again.

" Yes. That!" he said as he cradled his arm.

"Because....." I told him smiling secretly.

"Oh. You little.... I'm gonna get you back for that later!" he threatened me playfully.

"Okay. You just try. I'll be waiting. Then you're gonna get it back."
