"Hmm..... Maybe I shouldn't tell you. The suspense should be killing you - both of you.", she teased.

"Well go on then."

"Hm? Should I?"

"YES!!!", my dad and I said simultaneously.

"All right. All right. Keep your cool. It was just a joke."

"Yes. Well, leaving you half in water all day would be a joke. Right?", my dad teased.

"Ha ha. Very funny. Anyways, the person coming up on land again is none other than Prince Aiden."

Aiden? Really? He's my best pal - Like a BFF in girl terms. I haven't seen him in forever. He lives underwater, of course, and if my dad catches me with a tail, let's just say i'm screwed.

"Prince Aiden? Really? With his sisters, I assume.", my dad questioned.
"When?"

"Two weeks from now. He's going to school on land for the last few years of high school. I think he's in the same grade as you are, Zachary."

"His sisters are Emerald and Seraphina, you said?", I asked.

"Yeah. They are sixteen a year younger than you and so are Dana and Alyssa."

"Zachary, I have a job for you.", my dad told me.

"Yes?", I replied.

"I need you to watch them - all of them. Get to know them. Hang out with them. Be their friend. Oh, and get your idiot of a friend to help you."

"He's not an idiot, dad. He's a werewolf."

"Whatever. All or at least most mythical creatures are idiots - especially werewolves."

"Fine. I'll help you." He started smiling. "On one, no, two conditions." He frowned at that. I smiled. All my conditions are hard for him to deal with. "Condition one: No more calling mythical creatures idiots, unless they really are an idiot." Stella was snickering in the background. "Condition two: don't allow Stella on the school grounds." I was smart in thinking that up at the last minute. I had spied on someone before, and he sent Stella with me. It compromised the entire mission.

He sighed. "All right. Fine. I agree."

"Good. Then, I'll do it."

"Excellent." He smiled.
