Home at last

Quick note!

Our luggage was still trailing behind us as we walked up the dock to the house. We stopped at the edge. The yard was just as I remembered it as well as the house. Em started walking through the yard up to the house. I stayed still and looked back to see what everyone was doing. Kai was dragging his bag onto the dock with Zayn right behind him. Tavien, Alyssa, Aiden, and Dana were shouting at Kai and Zayn to move because they were blocking the exit. Everyone except Becca and Louis came. Becca an Louis are homeschooled by our Aunt Lavidia. Everyone else is in high school. They all have gone to the same high school - my high school, in fact. Aiden's the senior of the family. Dana, Alyssa, and Tavien are Sophomores. Em, and I are Juniors.

My dad was all ready half way up the dock. He smiled at me when he got to where I was standing. "Hey boys! Hurry up! or you won't get any food!" At the sound of the word 'food' they instantly sped up. They lifted the bag up and made a break for it. Zayn tripped and fell flat on his face. We all expected his bag and stuff to go flying, but it didn't. Instead, it just hovered there, like ours. Sadly, Zayn was in front of Kai, which caused Kai to trip over Zayn. Oddly enough, Kai's bag didn't go flying, either. It floated there, as well.

Zayn was the first to be heard. "Hey! Get off of me! I need to breathe, you know!"

"Hey, it's not my fault! You tripped in front of me!", Kai shouted back.

Zayn turned around. His eyes grew big. "Wow. Hey, Em, Sera, thanks for that." He pointed to the bags as he got up.

We shook our heads. "Zayn, that wasn't us.", I said.

"Well, if it wasn't you guys, then who was it?"

My dad walked over and simply stated, "Zayn, Kai, looks like you're both destined to rule, just like Emerald and Seraphina here."

"What? really? That's cool. Now I can finally get on the boat without knocking myself out." We all laughed at that.

Suddenly, someone stood behind us. "Adrian? Is that really you?"

Sorry guys for the cut off! I know the update is short, but I have hmwk and a short one is better than nothing! :)

Like I said above, there will be about 5 - 6 updates left after this one. Yes, I will expound upon the book before it is published so it will not be short!

There will also be an additional chapter in the published version! sorry, I can't tell you about it. It will be a surprise! :)
