Sorry I didn't update for a while, school is really getting to me. Anyways l lied about the Lexie/Meredith drama. This is going to Mer's date with Derek. I saw that my last chapter wasn't a hit, and no one actually voted. This is unedited, so I apoligize in advance for my stupid grammar errors.

Derek's POV
( 7:30, lobby )

My day was a terrible day. I've had 2 losses and 1 patient in critical care. The only that kept me going was the date with Meredith. Something about her made me just trust her completely, something that didn't happen with Addison. I've only known Meredith for a short amount of time, but I feel like I can tell her all my life's problem. The elevator finally opened and I saw the tiny girl smiling a bright smile coming towards me. She was wearing a burgundy blouse with a pair of leggings and flats. She had no make-up on apart from the lipgloss and managed to look beautiful.

"Hey" she said

"You look beautiful"

"Really?, I just borrowed the shirt from April because I had a white tshirt with a stain" she giggled. Her giggling was something I could hear forever and never get tired of it.

"Shall we" I said offering my hand. It had been awhile since I've been on a proper date.

She smiled and took my hand. I couldn't help but notice how perfectly her hands fit into mine. This felt right.

"Are you going to tell me where we're going?" She said as we made our way towards my car.

"Nope, it's a surprise"

"There's something about me you should know, I HATE surprises"

"Good to know, but this one is still a surprise" we finally made our way to my car as I opened the door for Meredith.

"What a gentlemen" she sarcastically gasped.

"I try" I smirked back.

"Can you please tell me where we're going" she begged.

"Nope" I stubbornly said as I sat in the drivers seat.

"Fine, then I'm leaving" she unbuckled her belt to prove that she was leaving.

"You wouldn't"

"I would"

"You wouldn't because I am charming and funny, not to say sexy"

"Your so full of yourself, it's sad" she said as she settled down rebuckling her belt.

"I might be full of myself but admit it, it's hot"

"You're wayyy to cocky for my taste" she chuckled. I started driving in the directions toward the restaurant I was taking her.

"Oh really? What's your taste?" I said clearly amused to learn things about her.

"For starters, guys who don't make me go on a surprise dates, and guys who aren't self conceited" she joked.

"Well then I guess..." But before I could finish she squealed.

"Wait! Are we going to the Italian restaurant that just opened?" She gleamed with happiness. "I've been wanting to go there but I've never found the time"

I was planning on taking her to the fancy restaurant where they take reservations and serve over priced snails. I thought women liked expensive restaurants, but then again Addison's choice was very high priced.

"Yup we're going to the Italian restaurant" I said taking a turn.

"Omg thank you!" She squealed again, before calming down.

"Sorry, you probably think I'm a total bright and shiny girly girl" Mer said.

"Bright and Shiny?" I questioned her usage of words.

"Long story,"

"Guess you'll just have to tell me on our very long date. A date so long, it could fit a two long stories"

"I guess" she childishly sighed.

"As we entered, a hostess took us to our seat, near the window. Which gave us a perfect view of Seattle bay.

"You know I have a thing for ferryboats?" I said as we took our seats.

"Really?"

"Really"

"You know you I have a thing for guys who have a thing for ferryboats" she smirked.

This date was going perfect.

"So I think you owe me an explanation for using bright and shiny" I said as we devoured our pasta.

"Okay fine, as long as you tell me a story of my choice"

"It's a deal"

"Well my friends call me and Cristina, Dr. Yang, dark and twisty because of our personalities and our past." She began... I couldn't help but wonder how dark and twisty even came close explain Meredith's loving, kind personality.

"Anyways, me and Cristina, we call anyone we see that's happy and laughing, "bright and shiny" because that's the exact opposite of dark and twisty" she rambled, but it was adorable.

"Ahh, so your dark and twisty?"

"Definitely, if I told you my past, you would run away" she chuckled.

Her life couldn't be that bad.
Or could it?

"Okay so now you have to tell me a story about your... um family" she said.

"My family?" I asked, why would anyone want to know about family?

"Yeah, you said I could choose"

"Fair enough, my family consists of me and my FOUR sisters and my mom." I said.

"What about your dad" she mumbled as if she knew she shouldn't have asked. "You don't have to answer that, I'm sorry"

"It's fine" I smiled at how quickly ashamed she became embarrassed.

"Anyways it's getting late" she said, switching the subject. I checked my watch, and it was 9:30. Meredith had to go home to sleep, or else she wouldn't be able to get to work tomorrow.

"I'll drop you off" I stated.

"It's fine, I can call a cab"

"Okay, but will your cab driver look nearly as flawless as me?" I smirked.

"Probably not" she giggled as she took my hand and we walked out.

Everything about her seemed so right.

Woah! Yup date night❤️ I don't know if I should add some angst and drama, or if I should keep the story light hearted. So you guys choose. Drama or Light Hearted? Anyways, bye bye
