A/n please comment lots letting me know what you think! I appreciate everything! Thanks for reading!

Amelia was sitting with Neville and Oliver Rivers (from Hufflepuff) in the library, studying potions.

"I just don't understand this at all," Neville sounded on the verge of tears.

"Here mate, take a look at this," Oliver handed him a piece of parchment with notes scrawled on every surface. "It's Terry Boot from Ravenclaws notes on the whole thing, he explains it really well," Neville looked at Oliver like he was an angel sent from heaven above.

"Thank you!" He breathed and Amelia couldn't help but chuckle, "what?"

"Nothing Neville, I just think you're funny," she smiled kindly.

"Yeah funny looking," he grumbled.

Amelia burst out laughing, receiving a frighteningly dark look from the librarian. "Don't say that about yourself!" Her face was red from trying not to laugh.

"Why are you laughing so much?"

"Like I said, I think you're funny," she put her hand on top of his and squeezed gently before returning to her book.

"Did you know Harry Potter apparently makes visit to the third floor corridor all the time?" Oliver mentioned. Amelia felt slightly irritated by that, who cares what Harry does? She understood what it was like to have people constantly whispering behind closed doors about you, and she didn't condone it.

"What does it matter?" She said, trying to keep her voice as amiable as possible.

"It doesn't really," Oliver shrugged, "I just think it's interesting. Harry seems like quite the adventurer so it would be cool to see what he gets up to,"

"I think we should just leave him alone, he can do what he wants," she said defensively.

"I'm not trying to be rude Amelia," Oliver looked hard at her, his blue eyes were so intense, but his voice was gentle. "I like Harry and I don't mean any offence by saying this stuff,"

"I know," she sighed and immediately regretted snapping at him. "It's just, I get what it's like to have everyone saying weird things behind your back when they don't even know you,"

Oliver smiled at her "People say very good things about you,"

"Yes but do they know me?" She chuckled dryly.

"Actually quite a few people seem to know you, you make friends easily," and with those few words Amelia felt quite a bit better. Oliver didn't seem to take any crap from anyone but he went about it in the nicest way possible.

"Thanks Oliver," she said quietly. Neville spoke up then, whining about potions. Amelia laughed and helped explain the theory to him. They stayed in the library for a very long time before it was dinner. Amelia and Neville sat beside each other and Oliver left to go eat with his house.  He waved at her and she watched as he sat down with his friends. Immediately, everyone roared at his approach, clearly excited to see him. She smiled to herself and turned back to her own meal.

There was a towering bowl full of Mac and cheese that Amelia dove into. Soon a few other first years joined them, Dean, Seamus, Lavender and Parvati. The six of them ate and talked and laughed. Seamus was doing impressions of all the teachers and had just started on McGonagall when Cedric Diggory approached from behind Amelia.

"That's quite good," he said to Seamus, and turned to Amelia. "There's a Quidditch match coming up this Friday, are you going?"

"Yes of course! I'd wish you luck but unfortunately my loyalty lies with Gryffindor for this one," she teased lightly.

"Well maybe you could make an exception?" Cedric smiled at her and she melted inside.

"Maybe," Amelia replied simply.

" I hope you do," she could hear his friends calling him from the entrance to the great hall. "I'll see you around Amelia Merlin,"

"Goodbye Cedric Diggory," she said as casually as she could. When he was out of earshot, Lavender and Parvati squealed and grabbed her.

"He is so dreamy!"

"You totally love him,"

"Can I have one?"

"He was so into you!" Lavenders voice could not have been more high pitched if she was signalling a dog.

"Please," Amelia rolled her eyes "he's just a little flirtatious. Anyways he's already in his third year! He would never actually consider me,"

"Seriously?" Parvati raised her eyebrows in disbelief. "You're Amelia Merlin,"

"Who wouldn't consider you?" Lavender chimed in. "Right boys?" She turned to the three Gryffindor lads sitting across the table.

"Right," Seamus replied quickly, to avoid getting his eyebrows hexed off, from the look Lavender gave him.

"Amelia's a gem, who wouldn't want her?" Dean agreed.

"Who wants Amy?" A voice sounded from behind her. She turned to see the Weasley twins looking mildly concerned.

"Everyone," Parvati said simply.

"Especially Cedric diggory!" Lavender really could not stop squealing, and Amelia grimaced at the sound.

"Isn't he a bit old?" Fred glared at her.

"Don't lecture me Fred, I can do what I want," she chastised.

"Well he should know better, you're too good and too young for him" he said crossing his arms. Amelia clenched her teeth, she really hated being told what to do. And she knew Fred cared about her but that didn't give him any right to make comments about her personal life.

"I think I'll decide that for myself thanks," everyone at the table looked vaguely uncomfortable.

"Amelia come on!" Fred sat down beside her. "You know I'm just looking out for you!"

"I don't need anyone looking out for me! I think I'm perfectly capable of handling a teenage boy!"

"I know you're capable! But it doesn't mean I don't worry about you!"

"Well you shouldn't," she said quietly, she knew Fred was just trying to do what's best.

"I know I know," he ran is fingers through his bright hair. "Fine, do what you want, but if he hurts you, I'll kill him,"

Amelia smiled, "not if I get here first," Neville looked at her with blatant shock , "it was a joke Neville," everyone laughed at the expression on his face and after that dinner continued normally.

Amelia woke that night in a cold sweat, with bleeding palms.

"I really have to cut these fingernails," she whispered to herself. She could rarely remember the nightmares but she stills felt with the aftermath. She swung her legs off the bed grabbed her wand to heal her hand. She'd never done this before but maybe it would work.

After many failed attempts she gave up using her wand and tried Jeremy's way.

"aperire animo, aperire animo," she breathed, and when he opened her eyes, the wounds had healed. Amelia grinned but then when she tried to fall asleep again it was impossible. She felt bad for snapping at Fred and Oliver, and for some reason it was gnawing at her thoughts. She was usually so easy going but, Amelia had gotten mad at two different people today for little to no reason. Maybe it was these damn nightmares
