Days turned to weeks and Amelia was spending every night with the ring on, but it wasn't making a difference. Her dreams had gone back to the same stuff as before. It was like Akkedis didn't even want to fight her.

But odd things kept happening around Amelia. People kept tripping or falling over or dropping books or leaking ink wells. It was strange but it felt like she was a bad luck charm wandering around causing havoc. Somebody had fallen down the stairs the other day just as she passed them, and Lavender had been complaining about head aches.

Luckily the Gryffindor versus Ravenclaw Quidditch match was today and it would definitely take her mind off of things. She was waking down to the pitch with her friends when someone called out behind her.

Amelia turned to see Cedric running towards her. "Amelia! Hey!"

As he arrived she said, "hello there stranger! Haven't talked to you in forever!" She smiled, and kissing him on the cheek, felt the familiar butterflies beating the edges of her stomach. Cedric still had such an incredible effect on her.

"I know." He said bashfully, "I've been a shit boyfriend lately."

"Well, I wouldn't say shit..." She laughed lightly. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Lavender bouncing in excitement and the boys sighing heavily that they were being kept from Quidditch.

"I would." Cedric said quickly. "And if you don't mind, I'd like to make it up to you. Right now." He sounded nervous, like he expected her to say no.

Which of course she didn't. "I would love that." His face broke into the infamous Cedric Diggory smile, the one that turned heads wherever it went and Amelia was suddenly overwhelmed with how wonderful he was. She really didn't understand how a guy like that was with a girl like her.

"Well great! Come with me then, I have something planned." He held out his hand and Amelia slid hers comfortably into it.

"See you later Amelia!" Lavender called and blew her a kiss, Parvati gave a small wave and the boys made some vulgar jokes before they all left to go watch Quidditch.

"So! Mr Diggory, where are you taking me?" Amelia beamed as they walked quickly through the hallways, almost running.

"You'll see. It's a bit of a secret really. I don't know how many people actually know this place exists!" He said enthusiastically. "But it's wonderful, you'll love it!"

"It sounds perfect!" She laughed, and the sound bounced through the empty halls like the dropping of a marble on stone floor. Cedric stopped suddenly. "Are we here?"

"No, I just have to do something first. It can't wait." She looked at him expectantly and without warning, he put a hand on her waist and one on her cheek, then kissed her softly. Amelia felt a rush go through her as he pulled her closer.

He broke away and smiled at her, she could tell she was blushing but she didn't care. They continued down the halls at an alarmingly quick pace until they stopped again at the seventh floor corridor just opposite a strange tapestry of a man teaching trolls to basket weave.

Amelia pointed to the odd looking thing. "Is this what you've come to show me?" She said delightedly. "Because I absolutely adore it!" She laughed once again, and even though it sounded like she was joking, she did in all seriousness love the tapestry, it was hilarious.

"The tapestry?" Cedric looked questioningly at her.

"Yes!" She rolled her eyes. "I like it!"

"Well I suppose it is funny, but it's my what we're here for." He winked and then closed his eyes, paced back and forth three times and to her amazement, a door appeared on the wall behind him.
