"What were his exact words?" She said firmly.

"I'm coming over, work has never been more exciting which is really saying something. Love Charlie." Fred said in a sing song-ey voice.

"Dragons. It has to be."

"Don't assume things Amy." He wagged a finger knowingly at her. "You can get in a real mess that way."

"I'm not assuming. It's called predicting. And it's called being right."

"You really think it's dragons."

"You don't?"

"Never said that."

"Want to go see if we can find them?"

"Of course!"

"Let's go then."

"What? Now?"

"Is there ever a better time?"

"I can't."

"Why not?"

"I'm- I'm busy."

"Dragons. Fred. You do understand this right? D-r-a-g-o-n-s."

"I know! I'd love to go but-"

"But what!"

"But I have a date with Angelina!"

"Oh."

"Sorry Amy, you know I want to come-"

"No it's fine really! I can get someone else to come with me. You go have a good time on your date!"

"Amy-"

"Just don't be your normal, stupid self. She might hate you." Amelia laughed jokingly and strode off, leaving the red haired boy sitting alone and looking confused.

So Amelia Merlin set out to find a companion who would go dragon hunting with her. Shouldn't be too hard of a task, right? She went to find the one person she knew without a doubt would come.

"Amy! How are you?" He hugged her and tossed his curly hair out of his eyes. "You look lovely."

"Do you want to come on an adventure with me?"

"I'm never going to say no to that."

"Don't make promises you won't keep."

"Trust me darling. I'll say yes every time."

"Well then, from now on I'll call everything an adventure. Hey Oliver! Want to come on a homework adventure with me?" She laughed.

He rolled his eyes. "If you ever preface anything with the word homework, I will guarantee  refuse you."

"Fine! Okay well this is actually an adventure and I think you might like it."

"Can I know what it is?"

"Trust me darling."

"That's my line." He protested.

"Our line." Amelia corrected and poked him on the nose.

"Sure."

"Sure?"

"Yeah sure."

"Alright."

"Shall we?"

"Sure."

Oliver laughed and ran his fingers through his hair. The pair ran from the castle onto the grounds. It was a clear day, warmer than usual and the sun was especially bright. A small wind blew their hair about so Amelia had to keep tucking it behind her ears and Oliver had to keep running his fingers through like a comb. It smelled like winter but it felt like autumn.
