"Oh you should've been there Amy!" Fred gushed as he discussed the Quidditch World Cup. "Why weren't you there?"
"Hmm let me think. Oh that's right, I remember now, because my mom is a raging cow." The truth was, Al had told her not to go. A place like that had her way too exposed and no one would be able to protect her. Amelia had almost wanted to refuse and go anyways to prove she could take care of herself, but she didn't want to do that to Al.
"Right! That sucks! You totally would've loved it! I mean, come on. It's the Quidditch World Cup!"
"Well I guess I'll never know how spectacular it was!"
"Seriously Amy, it was so great."
"Yeah. I heard you the first thousand times."
"Viktor Krum! Krum! He was amazing!"
"Wow. That is so interesting Fred. Please keep going." She said sarcastically.
"I mean, George and I called it, Krum caught the snitch but Ireland won. Because the Irish are absolutely unbelievable. Now Ludo Bagman owes us so good."
"Cool." she stared out the window of the Hogwarts Express and watched the trees go by.
"Also! He really liked our fake wands. Hopefully we can start selling some of this stuff to the people at Hogwarts, see if they like what they see and then we can get more money to start a proper business."
"That would be great."
"I know!" he sighed happily then noticed that Amelia was not as intrigued as he would have liked. "What's up with you?"
"Nothing."
"Oh you're doing that?"
"I'm not doing anything."
"I really hate it when you get passive aggressive Amy. It's annoying."
"Well I really hate it when you're so self centred you don't stop to think about anyone else. It's annoying."
"Seriously?"
"Oh please." She folded her arms.
"I'm not being self centred! I just asked you what was up!"
"Fine! Want to know what's up Fred? My birthday was super duper fun, too bad you weren't there! Also some crazy stuff happened this summer but I don't want to tell you because you're too goddamn absorbed in your little joke shop to care what happened to me."
"You know what Amy, maybe you're being a little self centred right now. It's always about you isn't it? Let's talk about Amy's life and all the shit going in there. God forbid I actually have a life to talk about." He glared at her and she glared right back.
"You're such a prat Fred."
"Right back atcha, love."
She huffed and stormed out of the compartment fuming about how juvenile Fred Weasley was. Her eyes were trained on the ground so she didn't she someone coming down the hallway, meaning she ran right into them.
"Oh my god I'm so sorry! Are you okay?" She cried.
Great. The only person she wanted to see right now.
"Kiss it better?" Draco Malfoy pointed to his cheek where a small mark was made from Amelia's crash.
"Not even if the lives of a hundred children depended on it." She was not in the mood for Draco's shit.
"Oh come on Merlin. I'd make it worth your while." He tempted.
"Yeah I'll pass." She turned and strode away. Malfoy's crones sniggered behind him but he jogged to catch up with her.
