A/n PLEASE READ. IMPORTANT STUFF HERE!! so everyone knows, I've been doing some more editing lately (just adding some stuff) nothing had changed according to the plot  EXCEPT that Servus ad serpentum is now aperire animo. That's the only thing you guys need to know!

The only class anyone cared about getting to was Mad-Eye Moody's. Fred and George had already been and Amelia could have sworn they were in love. All they discussed was how amazing and horrifying Moody was. So when the day came that Amelia's class had him, everyone was buzzing.

"I can't wait to see what he does!"

"Is he really as mad as they say?"

"They say he put three hundred prisoners in Azkaban."

"I heard it was five hundred."

"They say he's murdered people before."

"Well of course! He's an Auror!"

"That's the most bad ass job there is."

"They say Aurors are all mad."

"But he's the maddest one there is by far."

"They don't call him Mad-Eye Moody for nothing!"

When the professor did walk in, the room fell silent and no one moved an inch. Barely anyone even turned to look at him, their faces were trained on their desks and it wasn't until he got to the front of the room that people stole a glance. When Amelia looked up, she was so horrified that she couldn't tear her eyes away. His lumpy face looked like it had chunks taken out of it, and his hair was greasy and unkept. He had a generally angry look on him as though the world had just slammed a door in his face. But worst of all was his eyes. He had a fake electric blue eye that whizzed around of it's own volition. Amelia hated it, it reminded her of the eye that Akkedis had sent her all that time ago but she stilll hadn't forgotten the way it looked and something about that eye was terrible. She felt pressure building in her ears and the desk began to quiver below her. Amelia knew if she said the words that Moody would hear them and she highly doubted he would approve. But she had to get out of that room and away from that eye. Blood pounded in her skull and she could hardly breathe, her hands shook and a growing sensations built in her stomach.

No.

Enough of this.

She wasn't going to let Akkedis control what she did anymore.

She was a queen, and some scary eye wasn't going to stop her from becoming the best witch she could.

So Amelia took a deep breath and listened to what Moody had to say. He was blabbering on about the Unforgivable Curses (which she was all to familiar with), and then he started to demonstrate them on some small creature he had in a jar at the front of the class. She felt sick watching it so she looked away.

Turns out he really was as mad as they said.

The next few classes with him were interesting to say the least. He had them practicing being able to resist the Imperius Curse. It was terrible if you thought about it for too long, but Amelia got used to the idea and decided that it had good practical use to it.

The only tough part about it was how much the classes reminded her of her father. Moody used the same reason for cursing them as her father did, because the Death Eaters would come one day and everyone had to be prepared. But just as she wasn't allowing Akkedis any power of her, Amelia wasn't going to let her father do anything either.

So she did her best to resist the curses. She and Harry were the only people who managed to do it even a little bit. Although, Harry was much better at it than she was. The classes themselves were quite entertaining as well, watching people do any number of stupid things was a distraction from their strange and unnerving situation.

She was in the library one day, working through some Herbology stuff when Oliver came to see her.

"Have you met Mad Eye Moody yet?" He asked.

"Yeah."

"What do you think?"

"I have mixed feelings. On the one hand he's brilliant, but on the other, he's insane."

"Yeah I feel the same way."

"Good to know someone's on my team." She laughed.

"Everyone else just seems to think he's amazing."

"I understand that."

"Yeah me too." He sighed. "So other than Moody, what's new with you?"

"Have I told you what Al told me yet?"

"Maybe? Can't remember."

"You would remember this." Once again, Amelia confided in Oliver when she didn't to anyone else. With Fred, she didn't want to argue anymore, and she didn't tell the girls because she didn't want them getting mixed up in any of this. Amelia wanted to protect them. But Oliver was different, of course she didn't want to see him hurt, but there was a strength there that she knew she could trust.

When she was finally done explaining it to him she handed him the letter Al had sent. Oliver hadn't interrupted her for a second, leaving Amelia dying to know his thoughts.

"This is so crazy."

"I know!" She half laughed.

"So it's all true. Everything."

"Yes."

"And you can trust Al?"

"Yes."

"Are you sure?"

"I am. It's weird but I know I can trust him. He's been working with Jeremy too."

"That's good then."

"What do you think?"

Oliver's face broke into a smile. "I think it's brilliant Amy. Absolutely brilliant. I'm so happy for you."

"Come with me." She blurted.

"What?!"

"Please, it would mean so much. Just for the Christmas trip! I would love to have a friend with me in that place. And there's no one that I can think of better than you."

He paused for a moment. "Of course I'll come with you." Those blue eyes smiled at Amelia and she was put completely at ease.

"Thank you Oliver."

"Anytime."

"I'm sure Al won't mind."

"Doesn't matter if he minds. He's not the Rightful Queen of Kalishterya!" Oliver laughed.

"Very true!"

"You really want me to come?"

"Of course! You're my best friend."
