"I don't understand why you're going home. That's so stupid." Lavender grumbled.

"What do you mean?" Amelia laughed.

"The Yule Ball is happening and you're choosing to go home and hangout with your family. Which you hate by the way."

"I told you, I have to go." she hadn't revealed to the girls her true intentions for the winter holiday but it was getting harder and harder to keep them out of things.

"Whatever." Lavender tossed her curls over her hair and poured over her Herbology homework.

"I'm going to talk to Fred." She got up and walked over to where Fred was sitting beside the fire. "Hey!"

"Amy! How are you?"

"Can I talk to you about something?"

"Of course!"

"Can we go somewhere private?"

"Yeah. Is everything okay?"

"Everything is perfect." she smiled and led him out to an abandoned corridor. It was dimly lit, perfect for telling secrets. "Something happened over the summer that I never told you about-"

"Is this about that kingdom thing?"

"Can you just wait until I'm done talking?"

"Fine."

"Thank you." she then explained to him her plans for the winter break then breathed, waiting for his reply.

"You can't be serious Amy,"

"I am." she frowned. "Al wouldn't lie to me. And neither would Jeremy."

"And Oliver? Why is he going?"

"Because he's my friend."

"And you told him before me?"

"Well can you blame me? You're being kind of an asshole right now."

"I just don't believe it Amy, there's no way this thing is real-"

"You mean you don't believe me."

"That's not it."

"It feels like that."

"Well it isn't."

"So you do believe me?"

"Amy-"

"Don't. Just stop."

"Come on! Don't walk away! Let's just talk?"

"I'm so done with this. Just support me please! Come with me!"

"I can't."

"Why not?"

"Because George and I have been working on our joke shop stuff and we were going to spend the entire break working on it and I can't give this up-"

"Okay."

"You know I would go right? I would go anywhere-"

"But your not."

"That's not fair."

"Really?"

"You can't ask me to put my life on hold for you."

"It's a joke shop Fred!"

"It's what I want!"

"And you can't take two weeks off?"

"I really can't! Between homework and this damn tournament I've had barely any time as is it!"
