Chapter 3

Harry

That’s it.  The secret was out.  Dair kneed me in the groin and I couldn’t hold it in. I turned in front of her, revealing that I was a vampire.  And I was angry.

I stopped her from opening the door and I grabbed her and shoved her up against the wall.  She winced.

“Big mistake.”  I growled.

I didn’t have to look into her eyes to realize how terrified she was, I could feel it.  My vampire instincts kicked in, giving me enjoyment in seeing the fear I was inflicting on Dair.  It made me feel powerful.

“Y-You’re working with them, a-aren’t you?”  Her voice quivered.  “Y-You all agreed to bring me here to use me as your own personal blood bank or something?”

“No.”  I said grimly.

I could hear her heart thumping in her chest, her blood pumping through her veins.  She smelled so good and I just wanted to rip her apart.

“N-No?  Then why did you bring me here?!  You’re a vampire!  A monster, just like them!”  She yelled.

I felt my anger rise even more.  “I am not a fucking monster!”  I hollered back at her as I tightened my grip on her arms making her whimper in pain.

She cowered against the wall, trying to cower away from me but I wouldn’t release my hold on her.  Her body was shaking as she tightly squeezed her eyes shut.

Her bottom lip quivered as I saw a tear roll down her cheek.

I let out an exasperated sigh, trying to control myself.  “You shouldn’t piss off someone who could snap you in half so easily.”  My voice was lower than before but it was still harsh.

My eyes had returned to normal and I felt my fangs sink back in.

Dair’s eyes slowly opened, she looked up at me cautiously.

“If you don’t tell anyone, I won’t have to kill you.”  I warned.

Her eyes widened as she swallowed hard.  I really didn’t want to kill her, but I couldn’t let her tell people about me.

Her heart was racing and the sound of it thumping rapidly was further arousing my temptation.  I had to calm her down.

I leaned into her; she started to wiggle a bit in an attempt to get away from me but I held her tight.

Dair turned her head before my lips touched hers, my lips making contact with her cheek instead.

I took a deep breath through my nose again, she was being so difficult!

“Look at me.”  I demanded.

Her eyes were tightly closed as she kept her head turned away from me.

I shook her roughly.  “Look at me!”

She flinched at my harsh tone as more tears slid down her cheeks.  But she obeyed me, and slowly turned to meet my eyes.

“Good girl.”  I muttered.

I stared hard into Dair’s eyes, letting my gaze captivate her.  Her breathing slowed and her body started to relax as her eyes were fixed on mine.

I took the opportunity to lean in again, gently placing my lips on hers.  She didn’t resist this time, her mind was too fogged to realize much of what was happening.

She quickly came to her senses though, and she tried to pull away from me.  I was amused by this because I could sense a bit of pleasure in her as my lips moved against hers.  She was just trying to fight me off, resist me.
