Chapter 21

Dair

“Where are we?”  I asked once Harry came to a halt.

The sky had gone from a light pale blue to a darker baby blue colour.  And I found myself standing just before a body of water.  A boat sat in the water about a foot away.

Harry knelt down, pulling the boat towards us.  “Climb in.”  He said, gesturing with his hand.

I carefully crawled into the boat and sat down, Harry hopped in after me.  He took the oars resting on either side of the boat into his hands and started to row further into the water.

I looked around shyly, admiring the scenery before locking eyes with Harry who stared at me with a smile.

“This reminds me of that scene in-”

“The Little Mermaid movie?”  Harry asked, finishing my sentence.

My eyes widened in astonishment.

He smirked.  “I know you like the movie, it’s one of your favourites.  And a boat ride in a lagoon appealed to me as very romantic.  I thought it’d appeal to you too.”

My cheeks blushed lightly.  “This is beautiful.”

“It’s the second most beautiful thing here.”  Harry commented.

I bit my lip.  “What’s the first?”

He tilted his head, lips pursed as he raised his eyebrows, expecting me to know the answer.  “You.”

I smiled, feeling my cheeks blush even more as I averted my gaze.

As Harry continued to paddle us further into the lagoon, I noticed we were starting to go into a cave.  There was light illuminated by the flowing water and it was quiet other than the sound of the oars hitting the water.

“You don’t have to worry about any electric eels tipping us over like in the movie.”  Harry joked, breaking the silence.

I laughed, glancing quickly at him before looking away again.  I hugged my hands to my chest, playing with my fingers until I felt the boat come to a stop.

“We’re stopping here?”  I asked.

He smiled.  “Yeah.  It’s nice and private here, don’t you think?”

I gave him a small nod.

He set the oars down and moved closer, settling down right in front of me.  The scent of his cologne seemed to surround me.  I had to tilt my head up slightly to see Harry; even while sitting, Harry’s height loomed over me, not as much as when he was standing but still enough to make me tilt my head.

He brushed the back of his hand against my cheek lightly as he smiled down at me.  I raised my hands to comb my fingers through the front of his hair and slowly trailed my fingers down the sides of his face, to his neck and shoulders until I reached the material of his unbuttoned plaid t-shirt he wore over a white t-shirt.  He had the short sleeves rolled up slightly, allowing me to touch the toned muscles in his arms.

“I want to see your tattoos.”  I spoke, peering up at him.

He continued to stare at me with his contented smile before backing away a little to take his plaid shirt off and pull his t-shirt up over his head, tossing them both into the boat behind him.

He sat up on his knees, giving me a full view of his bare chest.  A smirk rose to his face as he took notice of my wide eyes scanning him thoroughly.
