Broken- Chapter 13

Alpha Blake's pov

Time seemed to freeze as the words slipped past her soft lips. They were quiet like a mouse yet rang as loud as a train horn in my head. I felt my wolf whimper and crawl to the back of my mind, hurt by his mates rejection.

I could not form a proper sentence as I watched her eyes filled with pity. I wanted to cry to scream but I knew I had to be strong. She wasn't rejecting me just simply stating that with everything going on a mate was the least of her worries.

Which angered me. I was supposed to come before anything else. Granted her life is unstable at the moment but that's when she should come to me the most. I was supposed to lift her out of the dark days but it seems she pushes my hands away.

I took one last look at her beautiful brown eyes before I stormed out of the library. I wanted nothing more than to demand she be with me and claim her but I could never push her into something like that.

I rushed out of the pack house and into the training grounds to let off steam. I punched and kicked as hard as I could at the dummies and they all followed the same path across the field. I got tired of the same thing and decided to shift into my wolf and just run.

I ran for a couple hours before making my way back to the house. I entered the pack house to see Nina on the couch watching The Fault in Our Stars. I sat on the couch opposite her and just stared at her.

"Take a picture, it'll last longer" I couldn't help the smile that made its way onto my face. "Aaron you know I'm not rejecting you, right?"

I was startled at the use of my first name, as I'd never heard her say it, and couldn't help the stir in my pants when she repeated it. "Yes I know. It's just hard for my wolf to understand your reasoning"

She smiled slightly and moved onto the couch I was sitting on and looked up at me. "Maybe in a few months we can try then but I need things to be stable before I start something new"

"But why? Shouldn't this be the time you lean on me as a mate to help you. I love you Nina and I want nothing more than to take away all the pain you've been through these last couple of weeks. However I can't, so I want to be there now to help you fix all that's been broken. To help you understand that everything will be alright. Because in my mind, as long as your by my side nothing can go wrong." I finished my rant and she seemed shocked for a second before her eyes clouded with unshed tears. She looked down at her feet before grabbing my hand and intertwined it with hers.

I loved the contrast of our skin and brought her hand up and kissed the back of it. "Let me love you Nina"

Before I could understand what was happening her soft plush lips were pressed to mine. I closed my eyes and savored all she had to offer. I began to move my lips along hers and grabbed the back of her neck and pulled her impossibly closer. I was madly in love with this woman.

Nina's pov

"Let me love you Nina" that was all it took before I pressed my lips to his. They were rough yet smooth all at the same time and I couldn't get enough. Our lips danced to the beat of a song unheard and I wanted nothing more then to stay in his embrace for the rest of time.

I poured all my unspoken feelings into his mouth. I felt him lick my bottom lip asking for entrance and I gladly let him. He tasted of mango somehow but I loved it. He spread my mouth wider as to taste all of me. After what felt like an eternity, wrapped in his love, we broke apart.

I stared into his eyes and realized that no matter how much I tried to resist it, I loved this man. He traced the outline of my features before placing a soft kiss to my cheeks. They trailed down my throat and I couldn't hold back my moans of delight when he kissed the spot just below my ear.

"Mark me." He stopped all movement and looked me in the eyes for a sign to stop, a sign of hesitation. However he would find none as I was ready to give him all I had to offer. He hesitated before continuing his way down to my chest. He stopped just above my breast and licked and sucked before brushing his teeth on the spot.

His teeth pierced my flesh as pleasure coursed through my entire body. I moaned out his name as stars danced around my vision. After a moment he removed his teeth and licked the wound. "I love you" I whispered and it was true. He looked at me with nothing but love in his eyes before he kissed me slowly and passionately.

"I love you Nina Irene Smith. Forever and always."
