She watches the shadows
The shadows cast by the departing
She calls out their names
But no reply returns
Tears roll down her cheeks
Falling helplessly to the ground she sobs
Eyes reddened by the salty liquid
Why she yells
Why was she the one whom everyone left
She gets deemed unworthy before she's had a chance
Just a monster they call her
How could anyone fall in love with her
She's just cruel and heartless
Or so she's been told
Too many times has she been hurt
Hurt by the people she cared for most
In the end they just leave
And this whole scene replays
Except this time it will be different
She looks at the knife
That had been thrown down at her feet
Picking it up slowly
She raises it to her chest
Putting both hands on it
She thrusts it between her ribs
Deep inside right where her heart is
Yes the heart that she does have
Except it stopped beating long ago
