Many days I cry alone
My sobs racking my entire body
Echoing in the silence
Known as my oblivion
Unnoticed and unheard
My cries ripping apart my very existence
Clutching my heart
As though it might pop
Out of my chest
And end me
If that was the case
I would welcome my demise
Lifting my head to the ceiling
I still hope for better days
Though I never find any
Rocking myself back and forth
My tears streak my face
In wet salty lines
Each cry becoming
Louder than the last
Every one was a plead
A plead that no one ever answered
They were left unheard
In the spaces of time
And left forgotten
In a piece of my heart
That still beats through all the pain
And that very pain
Made up the entirety
Of my existence
And after I'm gone
The only thing that will remain
Will be my unanswered cries
Ringing throughout time
