I looked out upon the horizon
Watching the water shimmer in the light
I sighed to myself
Remembering the fire
All the fires I have set
All the people I have killed
The endless amounts of blood
Upon my worn hands
I bite my lip
I can still see the blood
Drenching my hands
Dripping from my fingertips
I remember the satisfaction
Of the kill
Only if it was brief
I regretted that feeling
I hated myself forever for that reason alone
Feeling the satisfaction
Of killing another human being
Killing without a second thought
I took a swig of my rum
I sighed still thinking about the scene
Blood spilled everywhere
No matter how much I wash it off
I can still see it
Dripping down my hands
And off my fingertips
Hitting the cold cobblestones
Lost in my thoughts
All of a sudden I feel
A sharp pain in my back
And I look down to see a blade
Run through my ribcage
And that was the last of me
I did not have to kill anyone ever again
In was finally released of my pain
