It was dark before you
But when you came
I could see everything in a new light
Everything was new and refreshing
Though when you left
Things were darker than ever before
And it kept getting darker
The farther you walked away
Your beautiful golden light so dim
Until it was a speck in the distance
But finally it disappeared all together
I wait in the dark
Waiting, watching
For even the slightest twinkle of your light
Stumbling through the dark
When I thought I saw something
Though I was just hallucinating
Falling to my knees
Tears will stream down my face
All I'll pound my fists on the ground
Crying out into the vast darkness
Waiting for an answer to my cry
But never recieving one
Eventually I came to realize
That you got over me
As soon as your light vanished from my life
That epiphany hit me harder than anything
And my heart broke into millions of pieces
I fell to the ground laying on side
My heart beat going slower and slower
Until I shut my eyes
Never having to shed a tear again
