A long tattered path lies ahead
A path cracked and overgrown with weeds
No one is there to share the journey
Or someone to come along
And help whisk the debris away
Something feels like it is missing
Deep within my soul
There is a wide gap
A space that I cannot fill
The last piece of the puzzle missing
No where to be seen
Sometimes it feels like it shall stay that way
Happiness missing from the road
Leaving it dry and mossy
No flowers growing along side it
That is until one day
One day she walks into my path
And plucks the weeds from between the cracks
I looked at her and I knew
My heart whispered that is the one
I never knew that something so ugly
Could become something so beautiful
The cracks all filled
The weeds and moss all gone
I take her hand and walk down that path
The path that doesn't feel so long and lonely
Not any longer now that she is here
A smile on my face and a skip in my stride
I sweep her off her feet and down the aisle
