Love a simple four letter word
Though it is more complex
Than it may originally appear
When nurtured it will thrive
When crushed it will perish
Held loosely it stays cozy
Hold too tight and it will die
Not care enough it will never return
Care enough and it will stay
Feed it and it will grow
Neglect it and it will starve
Left alone it will cry
When around too much
There is no room to breathe
Do not grasp just hold
Not tight but loose
Though do not let go
It is a fleeting thing
Or it can last forever
How you take care of it
Will determine how love will treat you
Love more complicated
Than it seems
Even though it is a short simple word
That is thrown around aimlessly
A word that has lost its meaning
Though when thrown int the dark
It will always be possible
To come back into the light
