Trudging along day by day
The cruelty just keeps coming
Name calling, fighting, torture
A shiver rolls down your spine
New scars appearing everyday
You try to keep the monsters at bay
But yet they keep resurfacing
Tears roll down your bloody cheeks
Body aching, mind racing
You pull the blade across your skin
And you watch it drip slowly
Slowly to the floor below
This is a daily routine in fact
But tomorrow will be different
The motions are put in play
You tug your sleeves down
Trying to hide your own pain
The clock ticks and strikes two
Rushing to the sidewalk
And across the street
You know it is there but you don't care
Tears flow down your face
As the car slams into your body
Flinging you across the way
And breaking every bone in your body
With all your might you manage one last thing
A smile, a simple smile
No more pain or cruelty
You shut your eyes as your vision fades
Into the dark and there you shall stay
