You're a monster
They scream to your face
As you lie beaten and bruised on the pavement
Eye swollen shut and cuts trace your arms
You try to stand but they shove you down
Punch after punch they beat you
Yet you try to stand once again
Let's make you as ugly
As you are on the inside they chant
With that they pull out a knife
And they slash it across your eye
Down your nose and up to your lip
Blood covers your vision
And you finally lay there sobbing
Satisfied they walk away
Tears pour down your face
And insert the wound only making it worst
Crying in an alleyway
Blood drenching your clothes
And body too sore to stand
You let out a cry of defeat
Not only is this pain physical
It cuts deep inside your emotional state
For now you will have
To do with this scar
The scar that you will see
The one that you will see everyday
When you look into the mirror
Not only that but now people will wonder
Wonder about how you got that scar
And they will be convinced that you are nothing but
A MONSTER
Those two words are the last ones to ring through your mind
Before you lost consciousness
