Wandering with no place to go
Trudging along cold nipping at your toes
A barren landscape meets the eye
Alas with nothing in sight
No warmth no shelter
Pulling your rags close
You try to keep the heat inside
Frost clings to your hair
The wind howls in pain
A shriek so piercing that
It could shatter your very soul
Finally you sit upon a cliff
Watching the snow drift
Lights can be seen from this distance
If only you hadn't give up
Then perhaps you could've made it
Tears freeze to your face
Your body is so numb
But yet you stand
You close your eyes
And spread your arms out wide
The wind whips at your face for one last time
Taking a final breath you step forward
Now to the edge you lean
Gravity takes hold
And your spirit soars
No more cold
No more pain
Only the heavenly light that remains
Blood pours from your skull
And what can be seen
Is a grim smile upon your face
