Persuasion
I've been here for two weeks already and I haven't had the chance to leave this mansion. Maybe, I just need to accept the truth that Alex won't never let me go.
As day passed, I've grown fond with the cook named Elise in the kithen because she was the only human working for Alex. Speaking of that pureblood, I haven't seen him these morning when I had woken up. I was never bored because Elise was always around to keep me company. I like her for a human or I think I just miss Theresa. Theresa must be worried about me. I haven't visited her for half a month. I just hope she's alright and still kicking like what she always tell me.
"Pano ka nga pala napunta dito at naging cook ng isang Somerhalder?" Lumingon ako kay Elise na namimili ng idadamit ko sa walk in closet ni Alex. Whether you believe it or not, Alex and I now share a closet. He refused to give me a new room and I am left with no choice. I've learned my lesson about not arguing with a high tempered pureblood or you might end up getting hit by a door. I remember when we fought about sleeping in the same room and I almost got slapped by the door when Alex lost his temper.
"Isa akong palaboy sa kalsada. 14 years old palang ako noon nang kunin ako ni Master Alexander bilang katulong. Muntik na kasi akong marape ng isang adik pero niligtas niya ako kaya naman ipinangako ko sa kanyang pagsisilbihan ko siya." Paliwanag ni Elise at nilabas ang isang black dress.
Elise is pretty. Light brown curly hair and a small body frame. She told me, she's already 24 but she still look 18. I'm certain she's a human because I will always know if she's a vampire.
"Really? I didn't know Alex has a soft heart." I nod my head and studied the black dress.
"Do you like the dress, my lady?" Elise ask politely.
Simingkit ang mga mata ko at tumingin kay Elise.
"How many times do I have to tell you not to call me that. I'm Astrid, not my lady. One more time and I'll have someone cut your throat." I warned. Someone would do. As I've said, I don't kill humans cause I was once one of them. My lady is only for highborn ladies or a lord's wife. I am not a highborn and certainly not Alex's wife to be called by that.
Elise gulp and nodded. "Yes Astrid. I'm sorry, hindi na mauuulit."
I inhaled deeply and calmed my breathing. "It's okay." I realized I'm a bit rude considering she's a human.
"How did you know he is a vampire?" I asked following her inside the walk in closet.
"Naging pula kasi ang mga mata niya tapos may mga pangil siya at kinagat niya sa leeg yung adik na muntik a akong i-rape."
I nod my head. Alexander really saved a human girl.
"You must have been very terrified."
"I am. Nahimatay pa nga ako nang dahil sa sobrang takot nang lapitan niya ako. At nang magising ako andito nako. I owe him my life." She said with a dreamy voice looking like she was going back to the moment she was saved by Alex.
"You love Alex." I blurt out.
"N-no." Pagtanggi niya. Kahit wala akong special ability bukod sa bilis, immortal life at lakas ng isang bampira, alam kong nagsisinungaling siya. Her eyes says the opposite.
"Sabi mo eh." Hindi ko na siguro ipipilit baka matakot pa siya. Purebloods are known to kill humans who love them. I don't know why and to think that humans doesn't know we exist. Duh! It's 21st century.
"Bakit nga pala ako ang pinapapili mo ng idadamit mo? I'm a cook not a stylist. I belong to the kitchen." Wika ni Elise.
"I don't like the presence of other vampires." Maikling sagot ko.
