Blood and Guts
Astrid's POV
"My lady." Elise bowed her head lightly as I went pass her in the kitchen.
"How many times do I have to tell you not to call me that?" I snapped.
"I'm sorry."
My heart melted and guilty instantly filled my heart as I saw fear and hurt in her eyes.
I sighed. "Follow me." I sat in one if the wooden chairs and nodded at the empty chair across me. "Sit."
She looked at me in confusion and I just sighed for the second time today. "Eat with me. I don't feel like eating alone today."
She took a sit hesitantly and I had the chance to study her. She really is beautiful for a human. Her long black hair reached her waist and her maid uniform clung to her body tightly showing her well shaped figure. No wonder she caught Leon's interest aside from the fact that she's demure and innocent. Her eyes avoided me when she noticed me studying her.
"Slave, bring us food." Utos ko sa isang slave na dali-daling naghanda ng kakainin namin sa mesa. Napansin ko ang masamang tingin nito kay Elise na yumuko nalang mula sa matalim na mga mata ng slave na iyon.
Napasigaw ang slave nang bigla kong hablutin ang leeg nito "Is this slave harassing you, Elise?"
Napatingin si Elise sa slave na hawak ko at saka umiling. Hinawi nito ang buhok at bahagyang tinakpan ang leeg at pasimpleng ibanaba ng ang sleeves ng uniform nito.
My sharp eyes didn't miss the purple bruises in her skin that she was trying to hide. My eyes flared with anger as I glare at the slave beside me.
"Ikaw ba ang may gawa niyan sa kanya?"
"H-hindi p-po...."
"Do not lie to me!" I yelled.
"S-sorry." The slave stuttered from fear and before I can strike the life out of her, the slave was snatched away from my grip on it's neck and is now being held up by a furious Leon.
"How dare you hurt, Elise!!" Leon screamed and the slave tried to loosen his grip on it's neck. Blood drained from the slave as Leon slammed her against the wall still in his grip.
"You dare to hurt my Elise? Now you will face my wrath and regret you ever lived." He spat, his long and sharp nails digging to the slave's skin.
I was shock at his sudden outburst and when I looked at Elise, she was beyond horrified. Hindi ko naman siya masisisi, kanina lang wala ito tapos bigla bigla nalang susulpot. At nandito siya sa mansiyon ni Alex! What is he doing here? Kung tama ako, hindi naman sila nagkakasundo ni Alex kaya anong ginagawa niya dito?
I was in the middle of getting angry at this slave for hurting Elise when Leon suddenly snatched the slave from me. I should be angry at him for taking my prey but looking at him, he would definitely kill anyone who would interfere in ending the slave's life. Though I'm good at fighting, I won't definitely stand a chance against a furious pure blood.
Pareho siguro kaming nagulat ni Elise. Malaki ang pagkaka-iba ng Leon na nasa harap namin sa Leon na palabiro at laging ngumingiti. Ang mga mata nito na dating kulay itim ay naging pula sa galit nito. Muntik ko na palang makalimutan, lahat ng pureblood ay nakakatakot sa tuwing sila ay nagagalit. Sa case ko, si Alex palang ang pureblood na nasaksihan kong magalit at batay nga sa kanya, hindi ko pa nakikita ang kalahati ng magagawa nito kapag siya ay ginalit ng sobra.
I shook my head from daze when I heard the slave's painful whimper.
"Elise.... please..." The slave choked and begged for Elise but Leon tightened hid grip to shut her.
