Chapter 15: Lovely nightmare

Lovely nightmare

Astrid's POV

"Liam." I whispered in surprise. He was there standing in the stables. He was busy with feeding the horses. He had always been hard working thats why many ladies in town are attracted to him but he was in love with one girl.

"Astrid!!"

I was cut from daze when he called my name. My name from his mouth never fails to make my heart flutter.

"Anong ginagawa mo at nakatayo ka lang diyan?" Tanong nito. "Halika nga dito."

I ran to him and hugged him tightly. He feels so warm against me. I miss him. It had been hundred years since I last felt him.
"Whoa!! I can't breathe Astrid." He exclaimed and I reluctantly let go.

"I miss you, Liam."

"Talaga ba? Pero nagkita lang tayo kanina bago ako pumunta dito." Nakangiting sagot nito. Ang mga ngiting hinding-hindi ko makakalimutan. Nakatatak parin sa isipan ko ang mukha niya pero ngayong andito na siya sa harapan ko, ganon' parin ang hitsura niya.

I think he looks better than I remember. Kaya rin siguro maraming mga dalaga ang nagkakagusto sa kanya. Because of his looks.

"Bakit parang gulat na gulat ka yatang makita ako? Hindi ka parin ba maka paniwala na sayong sayo lang ang gwapong mukha na 'to?" Pagbibiro nito.

He still throw jokes that always makes me laugh but this time, instead of laughing I started to cry and clutch his chest.

"Wait... Why are you crying? May nasabi ba akong mali?" Nag-aalalang tanong nito habang pinupunasan ang mga luha ko.

"I just miss you so much. Please don't leave me. Everyone else did."
"What do you mean everyone else?" Naguguluhang tanong nito.

"Just promise me Liam."

"Okay. I promise. Bakit naman kita iiwan? Ikakasal pa tayo diba?" He assured hugging me.

"Let's go back to the village for now. So stop crying, okay?" He smiled kissing my forehead and I nod as we make our way to the village.

I also miss this road. Everything is quite simple, people are only living in simple huts but we are happy. The village have small population so we all know each other. Men are busy with farming while women stays in the house, cooking and weaving.

Malapit na kami nang may natanaw kaming maitim na usok na nanggagaling sa mga kabahayan. Ilang sandali pa any maririnig na ang sigaw mg mga tao.

Then everything came back to me. I remember this. It has been more than two hundred years but I still remember everything. It was marked in my memory. It was the exact day when everyone was butchered in front of me. Everyone were killed except me.

"Liam, let's go back please." I begged him because I know he's one of the people whom I witnessed dying.

"Hindi pwede, Astrid. Something terrible is happening at nandoon ang mga magulang natin."

Liam holds my hand and we both run to the village.

Malakas ang tibok ng puso ko habang kami ay tumatakbo. Habang papalapit kami ng papalapit ay mas lumalakas ang hiyawan ng mga tao.

I was frozen in the spot when we arrived at the entrance of our village. People are running with fear. There were men in black coats grabbing each person they see by the hair and biting their neck mercilessly, just like how I remember it. Dead bodies are thrown in the center making a hill of dead people. All of them have bite marks in their necks. It was only a matter of time until I realized what are they. Vampires.
