Warm Hearted
"Alex." Sambit ko na tumingala sa kanya. His nails was scraping against arm in a soothing way, eyes following the movement of his fingers while we cuddled in bed, both naked.
It felt really good being in his arms. Days like this where we are both in bed, just having a quality time together is the best. Far from all the chaos and nightmare of the past.
Being so close to him, hindi ko maitatanggi ang kagwapuhan nito. His lashes were long, skin so soft, lips so tender and those eyes. Yeah, those eyes were the most captivating part of him, I couldn't look away.
"Hmmn?" He gave me a half smile waiting for what I have to say.
"Now that I've realized it. Ang saya palang magmahal." Sambit ko na nakatuon ang mga mata sa diddib nito, my pointy finger, playing in circle on his nipple. "I haven't felt how to be loved in two hundred years, it's overwhelming. Thank you for showing me how beautiful love is. I love you."
"I love you more, my gorgeous Astrid. I will love you for eternity, remember that."
Looking up at him, I saw the sincerity in his eyes. How his eyes sparkled when he said he love me too. It was breathtaking, I almost forgot how to breathe.
"Why do you love me, Alex?" Maya-maya ay tanong ko dito.
"There's actually a lot of reason's why. Let's start with your beauty."
"Kung ganon' kagaya ka rin ng ibang mga lalaki. You only like me because I'm pretty." Singhal ko.
"I would be lying if I say I'm not attracted to your beauty but as I've said, I have a lot of reasons and that's only one of them. Patapusin mo muna kasi ako." Natatawang sambit nito.
"Alright, I'm all ears now."
"Aside from being beautiful, I'm always attracted to you because you're one of a kind. Gustong gusto ko ang pagiging palaban mo. Yung tipong susungitan mo lahat at handa mong labanan ang kahit sino. Isa din sa mga dahilan ay hindi ka kaylan man umasa sa iba. Kayang-kaya mong tumayo sa sarili mong mga paa kahit walang tulong ng iba. You have a the courage most of us doesn't have. You've survived a lot of pain and until now you're still living. You might be rude at most times but despite that, you have the warmest heart in the world. And that's what I admire about you."
He confessed lovingly as he tucked a strand of hair behind my ear and looked at me in pure admiration. I thought he was done but then he still have a lot to say.
"And then you're hair, I like it so much. How I can easily run my fingers through it. You're eyes, I love it that it's so black from far away but whenever I stare at them closely, they're actually light brown and sometimes I mistook the color as light green or gray. How is that possible? And when you look up at the sky or at the moonlight, they sparkle and I swear it's one of the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. And when..." Alex stopped short and smiled when he noticed me in awe and how much it meant to me.
"Breathe, baby. Huwag kang masyadong kiligin." He said smiling widely and I smacked his chest playfully when I regained my posture. Hindi ko namalayang nakatitig lang pala ako sa kanya. It's because I didn't know he thinks of me that way. It was overwhelming.
"You wish." I said trying to stop a smile and rolling my eyes. It wasn't my personality to be playful but being with Alex, it's making me act like a damn teenager flirting with a boy.
"I love it when you smile like that too."
"Like what?" I asked raising a brow.
"Na parang kinikilig ka. It's just so adorable."
