First Kill

"He changed her into a vampire." Alex said.

"You did what?!" I exclaimed grabbing Leon by the collar from anger.

I was fuming in rage and all I wanted was to claw his face. Kung alam ko lang na hahantong sa ganito ay sana hindi ko hinayaang kunin niya si Elise sa puder ni Alex.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking right." Leon looked defeated and worn out but it didn't lessen my anger. He must've regret everything but it still doesn't change th fact that Elise is a vampire now.

"Wala kang karapatang gawin iyon sa kanya!" Sigaw ko na hawak parin ang kwelyo ng damit nito.

"Anong gusto mong gawin ko? Hayaan nakang siyang patayin ng council kung sakali?!" Galit na sagot ni Leon na nagbago na ang kulay ng mata sa galit.

Lumapit sa amin si Alex at inalis ang pagkakahawak ko sa kwelyo ni Leon.

"You have to protect her until the end! Hindi mo ba kayang gawin iyon kaya binago mo siya?! Huh? At ngayon, ano? Nasan na siya? She ran away because it wasn't her choice. You forced her into something she doesn't want!"

Now that Teresa is gone, Elise is the only friend I have. That's why I'm being protective. I trusted Leon but what did he do? Ginawa niya ang isang bagay kay Elise na siyang nangyari din sa akin. I was probably affected more than anyone else because I know how it felt like to be forced into being a vampire.

"I have no f*cking choice!" He screamed.

"Yes, you have! You're just a f*cking coward. I shouldn't have let Elise come with you. Allowing you to take her was a big mistake."

"It wasn't a mistake." Leon said firmly, his aura changing into something frightening that Alex had to step forward to protect me from him just in case he lost control of his anger. "She was happy with me. We were happy and we are going to be happy together again."

"You wish. Hahanapin ko siya at once na makita ko siya, hinding-hindi na kita hahayaang makalapit sa kanya." Pangako ko.
"You have no right to do that." Leon hissed showing a pair of sharp fangs.

"And you have no right to change her into a vampire as well."

Nang tuluyan nang maka-alis si Leon ay nagbihis na ako at naghanda na upang hanapin si Elise. Hindi ko alam kung saan siya hahagilapin pero gagawin ko ang lahat para makita ko siya. Kailangan ko siyang mahanap bago siya makita ni Leon. That way, it'll be easier for me to protect her.

I wonder how she is. She must be frightened like I was when I was turned into a vampire. The bite of a pureblood hurt like a f*cking hell and just thinking that Elise have to go through the same pain is making my heart ache.

"Astrid, please wag ka nang maki-alam sa kanilang dalawa. Let the two of them figure out how to fix their problem." Alex said while he watched me from the corner of the room.

"Let them fix it on their own? How dare you say that?!" I exclaimed. I can't believe I'm hearing those words from him. "Elise is my friend. The only friend I have. She is important to me. Tapos gusto mong hayaan ko nalang siya? She needs my help."

"But it's between the two of them. At the end of the day, si Elise parin ang magdidisisyon kung babalikan pa niya si Leon o hindi."

"No, I won't let her be with that a$$hole again."

"Kung ganon' pareho lang kayo ni Leon. You're both not giving her choice to decide for herself." Akusa ni Alex na ikinagalit ko ng sobra.

"Do not compare me to him! I was once in her shoes. I know how hard it is to be someone you doesn't like. I was changed too, and I've been haunted by that until this day."
